I just uploaded my version of the Curtiss Seahawk float plane to flightsim and simviation; should show tomorrow. I created this FSX Acceleration project to have a companion for the SOC-3 Seagull which is also a catapult launch plane. I continue to use the rcbco-30 gauges for this purpose. I have a model of the P-6 catapult (on my version of the USS Idaho and other battleships) to which I added the Acceleration style catapult. Unfortunately, this is hard wired into the sim at 200 mph at 300...

(Mods please do not erase this thread!) The Super Cub is now available, via easy, quick and secure purchase at the store here: http://www.flight-replicas.com/SuperCub_basepage.htm Assuming you like what you see, once you've made your purchase, you'll receive two emails: one with your order information, and one with the download link. If you only receive one, check your spam or junk mail inboxes. For those for whom download size is important (in case one time of day is better than...
Just needed to give you a heads up. PSI is going to release another package very soon. Here's a link to what's coming. http://islandsim.com/main.html?src=%2Findex2.html
Hey guys! My new review of the A2A Cub, with Accusim, IS OUT! http://www.vfrreviews.com/index.php?topic=591.new#new I'm pretty pleased with this one, but the proof's in the pudding so I'd like to hear what you guys think. I went for a little different focus and looked at some of the awesome freeware painters! There are tons more that I couldn't mention, but keep an eye out for Bob in there :) Couldn't donate myself, so I hope I can help him this way...
Released and now availiable at, http://www.flyingstations.com/swordfish.html Wheel and Float version carrier capable though the catlaunch has not been included as FSX launches the poor thing at nearly double its max speed, includes dropable bombs or torpedo and a batman to direct your landing.
Just wondering? I get flashing runways and the like using DX10. Is there a fix? Ben
I thought I read somewhere that the guy who made the Pirat sailplane for FSX (empeck sp?) was doing an EMB of sorts. Was I dreaming this or is there some development pics floating around the web?
Hi Everyone,I'm not sure if "FSX General Discussion" is the right place to post this. I'm curious about all those ads I've seen promising I can make money online answering surveys. Has anyone done it and actualyl gotten paid? Thanks!http://pokeratmosphere.info/ref.gif http://pokeratmosphere.info/cc.gif
Guys I think I can remember reading a thread about swaping vc's in aircraft, but for the life of me I can't find it, in any case I want to use the alpha su33 vc but in a different aircraft namely the free Su 27/30 series by bear studios which has no VC, would some one either be able to explain how to do this to me or point me to a thread already on here that expains it, thanks in advance! Pete!
The question about WWII Airfields reminded me - does anyone know of a source of static WWII aircraft models for FSX ? I know you can place flyable models on your airfield using various tools, but more than one or two can really hit the frame rates. Ideally I'm looking for classic British a/c - Spitfire/Hurricane/ Lancaster/Wellington/Halifax etc Thanks
Check this out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhYVG_ZviL8 Prowler
I am recently really getting into WWII flying. I have many warbirds like most of the A2A planes, the WBS MUstangs, the FCS Lancaster, and many others. I am looking for some cool sceneries to fly out of. Ones in France and Britain and other places would be much appreciated. If someone could list off some of the cool WWII sceneries, I would really appreciate it!
Hello Everyone; Am I the only one to have troubles with the fuel pump switches and Battery switch of the Flight Sim developpers P-38? It seems that the battery switch and fuel pumps switches position are inverted in my P-38. When I switch the battery ON and fuel pumps ON, nothing happens; If I switch OFF the battery, and the fuel pumps OFF, the fuel pumps start and one can hear them. (depending on aircraft model) Have you noticed such a thing? I just reinstalled the airplane and the...
I was hoping someone could show me a nice 737-700 or maybe even a 300. Id probably take anything, but I am looking to fly SouthWest colors with her. I can live with the default, but I was hoping someone could show me any 737 with a working FMC maybe.
For some aircraft I have, like the Piper Arrow IV from Carenado, I have found checklists online that include the "Configurations" or "Flight Profiles" that are sometimes refered to the "fly by numbers" charts. These charts cover Climb, Cruise (high and low), approach decent, downwind, abeam to touchdown, finals and touchdown. Example: Piper Arrow IV Climb = 25"/2500rpm 95 KIAS Cruise = 22"/2400rpm 123 KIAS Downwind Pattern = 20"/2400 95 KIAS 10deg Flaps Base = 16"/2400 90 KIAS...
Hey all, i bough the vertigo simulations Hellcat the other day and what a true master piece! Im all for vintage PROP aircraft, from the piper cub, auster j1, dehavilland puss moth to the spitfire but with all of my fav aircraft this is high on the list. This is due to an amazing detailed weathered look and an 95% functioning vc! I think you guys really should consider buying it! http://secure.simmarket.com/vertigo-studios-f6f-hellcat.phtml
For those interested the CaptainSim B-52 Exterior model is released: http://www.captainsim.com/products/b520/
OT, but I have to vent somewhere, so ya'll are it, lol. I am beta testing a future aircraft and just completed the first of several flights to test new gauges, system performance, etc, etc. I took a lot of screens to illustrate what I saw and experienced over the 3 hour flight. I tweaked all the photos, added text where applicable to illustrate my findings and then sat down to compose the e-mail to send off with the zipfile of screens. I had typed probably 4 full paragraphs, going into...
Saw this yesterday on BBC news website, forgive me if someone else has already mentioned it, I have looked but did not find anything. New Sukhoi Stealth fighter: "Russia's response to the US stealth fighter, a new fifth-generation fighter, has made its first successful flight. The "fifth generation" jet is designed to be invisible to radar. Russia's air force hopes to acquire it in 2015. " http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8487026.stm

In trying to determine why someone is having difficulty getting aicarriers to run on both WinXP and Win7 I'm trying to eliminate possibilities. So far, the aicarrier installations look fine. The EXE.XML file looks fine. The major difference I see between my working XP install and his is that I have Java versions jre1.5.0_09, jre1.6.0_02, jre1.6.0_03, and jre1.6.0_04 on my system.

well i was bored the other day so started browseing the fs download websites as you do, went to aussix and found this little tool ... http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=848 I have no idea how it works but it loads a different splash screen every time you load fsx, not much use if you only load up fsx once a week but when your loading it up countless times everyday to make sure you havnt broken something its nice to see a different splash screen :applause:
I've finally ported it over to FSX, loaded the FSX "patch" that the Section F8 team put together (until native F-86 is released), and I notice that where the A2A P-51 hums along at 35 or 40 FPS, the F-86 seems to bring my system to it's knees with FPS between 15-21. My question is this: Could it be the photo realistic textures that are causing this? Thanks, Kent
seeing how theres a bit of moth fever about recently this should go down well :engel016: http://www.whyfly.aero/video-tiger-boys/

Hi Folks The latest detailed expansion to the worldwide-coverage sets of 'Visit Series' rewards. This will probably be the last release for 2008. I've included a coverage map to indicate which countries currently have multiple rewards, (green). All other countries have single rewards, (white or yellow). Click for full size -
