Chief, In order to do what you're wanting to do you basically have to increase the power to the router (there is a trade-off in life time of your router). For me, it was simply a matter of entering an http address in a net browser address line and it let me into the router's configuration setup then increasing power incrementally until I had a max signal in my unattached workshop which is about 120' from the router. It works like a charm for me...good luck.
