I have somehow acquired a constant "ticking" sound in the VC (only the VC). It sounds like a switch that's constantly switching off and on but at a rate that changes with the engine rpm. Has anyone run into this before and if so what is it and how is it corrected? I have the "cockpit_sounds" folder in the panel folder currently, but I also moved it to the gauges folder temporarily to see if it had any affect. . . .none.

This is how it's referenced in the panel.cfg file:

[Vcockpit05]
file=$radios.bmp
size_mm=512,512
visible=0
render_3d_window=0
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$radios
gauge00=C150frav!C385A, 2,1,427,195
gauge01=C150frav!XPDR359A, 0,330,256,66
gauge02=C150frav!Cessna_Audio, 279,334,230,65
gauge03=C150frav!ADF Cessna type R-546E, 0,400,289,126
gauge04=DSD_FSX_XML_Sound!Sound, 0,0,0,CockpitSounds\CockpitSounds.ini
gauge05=CockpitSounds!KeyEvent_SND, 0,0,1,0

This has become a real PITA so I'm removing any reference to this cockpit sound mess and just enjoying the 150.

I loaded up that a/c just to check it out, don't have your issue. It did change my keyboard to Canadian French though which caused some other issue re key presses.

Probably has to do with the location of files and where the ini file is looking as opposed to where they actually are. I tried striping all that junk out and starting over with the installation of the cockpit sounds but it just doesn't work. removing it all together was the easiest way to eliminate the entire thing. Don't really need clicks anyway.

I too had this problem at least in P3DV3.1 and solved it in the same way, not in FSX though.

OT: I'm not getting the ADF to work properly in this one. Is is not functional?

No ticking/clicking here either, Ed.

Would have to load it in again to have a look but does toggling the "Q" key do anything?
Sometimes that shuts down sounds that won't go away.

I'll give that a try, thanks!

Finally decided to go through each wav file, find the culprit and get rid of it. It was "Sml_switch.wav". Commented out. . .all sounds work and no constant ticking noise.:jump:
