Base packs not cost 9.99€? They should tell what they are going to sale 9.99€. L1011 costs 29.99€?

I just need new modern airline panel for my payware Captain Sim C-130J Hurricane Hunters. Saw many documentary tv episodes on C-130J Hurricane Hunters and they come with awesome modern airline panels!!

Captain Sim apparently has no plans to make that panel! I would be glad to pay 10 bucks for that panel to replace the wrong panel in Captain Sim C-130Js.

Regards,

Aharon

Yes, CS 707 works perfectly. (Here iīm using fsx-se single, not the dual fsx disk and fsx-se)

Any one else find that the 777 installer does not give you the option to install into P3d V2.5

I did it! But the Canadian dollar is quite low these days... The L-1011 cost me more than $18, ouch... I feel a bit ashamed of myself...
Will give $20 to the SOH Membership drive, I should feel better fast...

Got the L-1011. I think I have most of what Captain Sim has produced, save for the older 'legendary' stuff like the Yak and F-104. A good number of them have been on these annual 9.99 sales.

To vonstroheim

"But the Canadian dollar is quite low these days... The L-1011 cost me more than $18, ouch... I feel a bit ashamed of
myself..."

No, not quite that low; something new has been added. I'm from Vancouver, and when I went to pay for the L1011,
Paypal added 12% Provincial sales tax. Just look at your Paypal receipt. I haven't seen that before in any previous
Paypal purchases. I guess this is the future, so double ouch.

But I suppose everyone in Europe is saying welcome to the club.

Oh well.

Thanks - Rob

13 % HST for an Ontario purcahse added. I'm pretty sure it was Captain Sim, not PayPal that added the tax. They must have a Canadian point of presence. Sucks paying tax! :banghead:

I sure hope you are right about that, that's it just CS. But even for a couple of dollars more, it's still a pretty good price for what you get in the L1011 base pack - especially compared to the full price.

Thanks - Rob

Tell me about ouch, also an over-taxed Canadian here but the amounts nonetheless certainly seemed bearable; except of course if you're like me and ordered 4 birds:biggrin-new:

707, 727, C130 and I thought I was done...you see I already own the Justflight L1011 which I find pretty good if not perfect. I logged back in 2 minutes later after thinking.... hell it's only another CDN $18
which really ain't worth very much these days. So I ordered the CS L1011 just to satisfy my comparison curiosity.

I think I need help.

Have only flown the 707 thus far. What a magnificent VC. Excellent exterior model and flight dynamics which are exactly what I was after for this iconic aircraft. Very hands-on experience. It's really a no-brainer
for the present asking price.

I think Milviz is doing a C130J.

Another example of duplication that I find frustrating, right across the board.
Probably be a very good rendition but there are dozens of other worthy subjects out there.

:encouragement:Anyone using this in FSX-SE and is it easy to setup ? I primarily use P3Dv3.1 but have SE installed for all the excellent war sceneries fom Tom , Mark , Xavier(Vietnam War Project) and few other very talented scenery makers . I thought it would be a lot of fun if it (CS Weapons package) works well with some of the older warbirds . Had to pick up the 707 and the VC137 expansion . It's a lot of fun and works well in 3.1 .

Talk to you later from snowy Ohio http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/images/icons/icon13.png

The Vietnam War Scenery has problems with missing taxiways and a few Scenery objects with discoloured and flashing textures . The major problem for me was the taxiways .

Anyone know where the docs for the L1011 are located? Can't get the damn engines started.

I had to search the site myself for one of the manuals . Here is a link to yours : http://www.captainsim.com/products/l011/manuals.html

It's off-topic to the thread, but it sounds like the FSX/P3D "afcad issue" where one of the flags that wasn't utilized in FSX needs to be changed to allow the taxiways to show in P3D.

Startup procedure isn't in the manual.....

Basically it goes like:

Start the APU
Close off the cabin air from the engines
Open the APU bleed air valve
Switch the Fuel levers at the bottom of the throttles to up
Power on the start system
start the engines.

I just got the "all in one" C-130 package! How could I not, for $11? That would've been $97.60 usd regular price! What a bargain, I feel like I've stolen something! Thanks for the heads up RobM! :applause::applause:

Well, ended up with the L-1011 and the 777.

A total of $20 instead of $100. Not bad for a Tuesday morning ;)

:banghead:

This is not duplication. No J model with the correct VC is currently available. The CS models are all steam gauges only. A C130J with a glass VC would be very worthy.

(sorry for Off Topic, I got the L1011 on sale, so it is only a little off topic:)

After knocking myself out trying to start the engines found an EXCELLENT 1011 tutorial covering all procedures on a flight from heathrow to spain. Answers ALL questions on how to operate all systems.
