In case you were wondering what a Canadair North Star looks like. : )

Still have to finish the texturing on this one, and then get on with making the B.O.A.C and cargo variants - so lots left to do, but at least the end of the tunnel is in sight!

Going to have to make some stairs....kind of a long way to jump.

They were, sort of!

Canadair used the nose, forward fuselage and gear from a DC-6, the empennage, rear fuselage, flaps and wing tips from a DC-4 and the mid-fuselage, and main wing sections from a C-54. They also added Rolls Royce Merlin engines (specially adapted to suit the Canadian climate) to give it more speed and pressurized the aircraft so it could fly higher. They also standardized the cockpit layout and added a completely new electrical system.
