Using the new published Paint Kit from Milviz, I have redone all the Milviz F-4 repaints published this month. This includes the correction for the intake holes and other improvements. At the same time many other corrections have been made on the originals. All you have to do is redownload the paint from the Warbirds Library. The date of the upload has not changed but the download is updated. Enjoy. :untroubled:

Bill, it is my pleasure. Keeps an old guy like me out of trouble. I have a separate version of the VF-114 number 205 I will upload. This was a request made for an airshow version of the VF-114. This means no dirt and pristine condition. Most of the time we try to put oil, dirt and scratches on the aircraft. Alternately this was a request for a completely clean freshly painted aircraft. Should be uploaded shortly.

Included in this release will be an alternate texture for the aim_9NP sidewinder.

Also I have gotten the information that there will be a change in the nose texture for the J/S model. I will post a replacement texture for all my repaints once that arrives.

Yo Yo just called my attention to the fact that the pylons 3 and 7 of the Israeli Defense force repaints have a problem. The correction is easy. Just download the files from this link. http://www.myshasta.info/stovall/pub...Correction.zip (http://www.myshasta.info/stovall/public_html/FSX/F-4E%20J%20Israeli%20Pylon%20Correction.zip) The read me tells how to install. Both textures have been upgraded to better match the wings above. Sorry for the trouble.

Hi Tom,

Wonderful USN textures. I think that I haven't missed any - but I don't have the VF-114 (Kittyhawk #212) that you showed a screenshot of. Is it still in the pipeline - or did I overlook it?

Best regards,

Bill

Bill, the number 212 is right next to the 205 in the Warbirds Library. There are two of the 205. One is the standard weather in use aircraft. The second was a request for an airshow clean version. There is a total of three from the VF-114. Enjoy.

Be sure to understand the above correction download is only for the Israeli paints. The pylons textures were incorrect. Somehow number 3 was duplicated as number 7. It is a wonder this old guy can keep anything straight. Been working with Windows 10 upgrades on my wife's computer and notebook. My laptop went through the change fine. My main computer will be tomorrow. Cheers to all.

Following the latest upgrade of the Milviz F-4E J I checked all my J repaints. All will need a simple process to make them work perfectly. In the VF92 folder you will need find two new texture files for F4E_12_ext.dds. Copy F4E_12_ext_bump.dds and F4E_ext_specular.dds in that folder to all my J repaint folders. That should do it. Let me know if you experience any problems.

Hi,

You should know that ALL J paints will have to be upgraded once we release the actual J/S package as we have now cut out the leading edge flaps as well as moving stuff around such that it matches the J and S.

Thank you.

KatSooo... that means... all the current J paints will need to relocated to the upcoming J/S package??

Sooo... that means... all the current J paints will need to relocated to the upcoming J/S package??

The way I read that is that at least some, if not more, of the current J textures will not work at all on the new package. If that is the case then there's no point in continuing to paint this hybride J. Bummer!

Hi,

No, you may keep on painting. The point is that the areas where the flaps/slats are is a touchy area to be dealing with.

Plus we have now added the catapult bridle hooks.

We are also presently working on replacing the stencils with the Navy/Marine ones. These will be on a separate layer set so that they can be "imported" "exported" over.

We are trying to get the J external model ready so that we can put it out with the next iteration of the E. Then you can really go to "town".

Thank you.

Kat.

Thank you Kat, for that further explanation.

Some texture adjustments are, obviously, necessary and expected. My red flag went up when you mentioned "moving stuff around." It's just kind of hard to consider investing a lot of time in something when it's future seemed cast in Jell-O!

So, I too am looking forward to future updates.
