the DO-228 is one of my favorite planes visually..i just think it looks cool...is there one in someones pipeline as yet?....i wont pay 49.99 for many if any planes...but id willingly pay that for a do-228!!!

and no..seems im too dumb to figure out how to do it myself...i may learn the do the outside of a plane...but to do the FDE or the VC ....no way...

You might check out this page:
https://www.virtualcol.com/shop/consola/tvirtual.php?modulo=home.php

Same folks who just released the DH Otter. They don't have the 228 but they do have the 328 which might fit the bill and the price, at 10.50, is certainly low enough to be tempting. Be forewarned however, these are not high end models with every system modeled and top notch flight dynamics. These are decent aircraft, with decent modeling and textures.

There is/was another one in development.

Not sure if this is dead.
I think Aerosoft is the best company to do this one.
Aerosoft was in contact with project-do228 but as far as I know with no productive outcome. I will contact them again and ask for some info.

Regarding the 238:
I think Razbam has shown some screenshots of a do-328 model on their facebook-page:-)

Unless they've revived it as a new project on yet another new website. . .I'd say it's dead as the last post was actually their only post which was 8 years ago.

I did find one early development shot posted in March, but nothing since. They have so many projects going on it could be years before that one surfaces.

Premaircraft Design made a Do-228 FSX native model while back. Worth a look Daveroo!

I do have this on my hard drive, but am not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. The HS.125 Dominie and North Star/Argonaut will come first, in any case. :)

I wish they were actually "Native" FSX, then I could use them in P3D. Unfortunately they are FSX compatible, but not true "native models".

@falcon409:
True in both cases. But you never know.
At least at Razbam I am afraid that we will have to wait for a long long time until it will make it to the sky. Or it will be canceled course of new projects. We'll see,

Yep, I'd be flying a lot of their models if I could!

And not DX10 compatible either

If there'll ever be a FSX native 228, it's probably going to be made by Virtualcol.
(With apologies to Mike.)

(No, I won't make a 228 either.)

None of PAD's models are FSX native.

Well, because I did a 328, one might asssume that I'm also willing to do a 228. My remark was just an attempt do stop any speculation dead in its track.

The 228 is a good airplane, I can't deny that. It does what it's supposed to do and does it well, but unlike the 328 or other planes of its size (Metro or SD 360), it somehow lacks character.

But seriously, ask VirtualCol. The model just fits right into their portfolio.
(Might want to brush up on your grammar and spelling when e-mailing them though.)

PAD Aircraft, in their heyday were quite good airplanes. . .still are really but purists didn't care for them for reasons mentioned here (not DX10 compatible. . .not FSX Native and so on). Abacus, on the other hand, sold aircraft that I felt were freeware quality at best. . .but they did also offer a try before you buy option so you had the chance to see for yourself before you paid.

As for the Do-228, as Bjoern says. . .it does what it was design to do but I wouldn't purchase one or even download a freeware version as I don't find it "appealing". Bjoern's suggestion to contact Virtualcol is your best bet though. . .it is something that would fit in their line of aircraft and you might see something from them long before any of the other developers.

well its about the looks of the plane to me..i think it looks pretty cool myself...lean and mean look to it for me...the 328 looks like its pregant or something..so ive never even tried to have on in my flight sim..nothing against you guys....and yes i kaint speel and my grammer is horrible...but im me..and if they were to tell me they wont correspond with me due to spelling or grammar, then i wouldnt buy from them anyway...and id probably remove what i do have....i dont much care for rude people..

Consider that the VirtualCol devs aren't native speakers, so a sloppily written message might cause some difficulties in communication. Or, worse, global thermonuclear war.
