The Panavia Tornado is a family of twin-engine combat aircraft, which was jointly developed by the West Germany, United Kingdom and Italy. There are three primary versions of the Tornado; the Tornado IDS (Interdictor/Strike) fighter-bomber, the suppression of enemy air defences Tornado ECR (Electronic Combat/Reconnaissance) and the Tornado F.3 (only United Kingdom) a air fefence variant. It is one of the world's most sophisticated and capable interdiction and attack aircraft, with a long range, large payload and high survivability. Developed and built by Panavia, a tri-national consortium consisting of MBB of West Germany, British Aerospace, and Alenia Aeronautica of Italy. The Tornado first flew on August 14, 1974, and saw action with the RAF and AMI (Italian Air Force) in the Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm). International co-operation continued after its entry into service within the Tri-National Tornado Training Establishment, a tri-nation training and evaluation unit operating from RAF Cottesmore, England. Including all variants, 992 aircraft were built for the three partner nations and Saudi Arabia (first export customer). This is a demo :) . I got his earlier Tornado and Phantom sets. They are not native fsx and whilst the exterior model is reasonable, the vc is very poor:redf: ...with standard fsx gauges. There's definitely an opportunity there for a developer to produce a good native fsx Tornado or F-4...preferably with a highly detailed vc. :ernae:

Although overall I am not impressed by these FS9 port overs , Andreas Meyer shure has figured out how to make good canopy glass for his models; clear and shiny!

I have his F-4F Phantom II which looks nice enough outside but suffers from an incomplete FS9 to FSX port (landing light and afterburner effects are quite odd). However I have constructed custom, FSX native XML gauges to replace most of the stock (and non-functional) gauges. Some day I plan to post the gauges in a package. If anyone is interested I could speed up that project.

I'd definitely be interested in that, mfitch :ernae:

no offence to anyone but whoever buys this crap should just go over to simv or where ever and download the IRIS Tornado packs... They are FS9 admittingly but they work in FSX and look like the real things too! As for his F-4... IRIS Phantoms is all i have to say...
