Thanks for the memories!

Back when I was pumping gas and washing planes they were "common" - well, at least frequent visitors.
This one was my favorite, mostly because I saw it often and got to talk to the crew (well enough to get a quick visit inside)

but there were 3 or 4 others that would drop in. That was the era of Howards and Invaders, the odd exec B-25 and Lode/Learstars. A fine time to be growing up around an airport.
I keep telling myself that one day I may even get around to doing a paint of -CCR for ROS's (LAS S26) variant of the A-26

When my Dad was at Hurlburt Field in the early to mid 60's, the first OME B-26K came to their field not long before my Dad was discharged at the end of his enlistment. This was the actual bird which he saw:
