Willy and I meeting up in the big skies of Montana.

He was flying out of Boeing Field in Seattle having given a 377 a workout earlier and picked up a Connie somewhere in eastern Washington State. I was delivering some show horses to the + N Ranch in Western Montana.

The private airfield had no avgas so Willy offered to land there and let me grab a few 55 gallon drums to juice up the Ambassador before heading back to Texas.

The runway is 3400'. Fine for most ga planes but Willy got his Connie out of there with room to spare.

Things liked a bit different from my viewpoint as I don't have the whatever that is Moses was flying & I was running the stock real weather...

Don't know if I could have gotten that early Connie out of there, but I knew that as light loaded as "Pegasus" was, she'd come right out of that hole. After having flown her all over the world for over a year now, I pretty much know what she'll do, although she surprises me now and again too. And the Swedish Bikini Team that have signed on as my flight crew likes the extra room......

Hey Moses,

What is that plane and where'd it come from? It's got my attention - always did like livestock - an nice skirt. :costumes: That aside it's a high wing twin - I'm interested!

Hey Ed,

The plane is an Airspeed Ambassador. A 1950's Brit propliner.

You can find the base pack at AVSIM : AS57BASE.ZIP

Panel & sounds: AS57PNSD.ZIP

There are also a bunch of nice repaints for it in both passenger & freighter liveries.

Nice FS2004 model! :)

Moses

One thing- If you do give it a spin, I have attached a better prop disk than the original one IMO. See what you think-

Hey All,

Thank You Moses! :medals: I'm off to d/l it. It may just be a big plane that I like. In general I prefer 2-8 passenger size stuff few big planes other than Milton's and the Beriev jet catch my fancy so to speak.

What a week this has been a Dove, a Socata and now another treasure! I must be living right! :)

Thanks! -Ed-

Great pictures Moses ! love the one with the Connie tail in the front !

Just downloaded the Ambassador; Thanks for reminding. ;)

You have made me install quite a few aircraft the last few days; First the Convairs and now the Airspeed ! :costumes:

Hey All,

Am I correct that this Airspeed has no interior textures? That is if your in the 2D cockpitand looking right or left or back there is nothing? The fact that there is no VC doesn't bother me but it is a bit wierd that there is nothing any direction I look. Have I erred somehow? I like plane though - reminds me of a few 12 year-old hereford cows I've herded from horseback. Lumbering steady and faster than you might expect.

You are correct about the interior textures Ed. I agree it is a little odd. Wing views or at least a visible bulkhead within the 2d panel would be nice.

It's a case of making the best of what is available.
