Stumbled across an excellent FM-2 Wildcat(just needs an alternate texture less personalized, although the MAH BABY is nice one) so combined with the catapult mod, can actually run escort carrier missions now, which are fun.Thing is, the VN Casablanca class can only be set to 10 knots in the ME.I checked the DP file, figuring speed was set low, but it's set to 19 knots. How to fix this? Also, how to adjust starting points on deck of ship? Such as where catapults are.Another issue with starting points, have an excellent pre/ begining war CV-2 CV-3 by Usio Taro.CV-2 has starting out on top of the island, cv-3 is fine.

Did you delete the old CDP when you did the DP edit?

I have edited nor deleted anything.I was just snooping in the DP to see if speed was set low, but it is not.

Dasuto, a quirk of CFS 2 is the MISC DATA section uses kph for speeds:dizzy:, so the 18 is too low a value.

Change it to 33-35kph & then see what you get in Mission Builder :costumed-smiley-034:encouragement:

remember that 18 is Kilometers not knots. Oops UT said that.

MB (Mission Builder) is being kind at 10 knots. its more like 9.71. good thing it rounds up.

33 will give you 18 knots.
35 will give you 19 knots.
37 will give you 20 knots.

Although 30 might be more accurate a top speed. That would give you 16 knots.

You can try the wind generator or the catapult gauge if you want some fun.

If you want to learn how to do the starting points I can send you some docs to look at. I also have alot of Info on the catapults. I sent some to NoDice.

So, how do you slow them down? I have ships that run at 30 Kts when attacked. I've changed thier cruise and max speeds to 2 and 4 kts but they still run at 30 Kts when attacked.

yes and how do you make them follow the course even when set to "do not evade"? Certain ships ignore that .The stock USS merchant ship, tanker do that, as well as few others.

There is a mod to fix that,it's puts a gun on those ships.Any ships without guns will not follow the way points when attacked.

You can either use the mod from Pen32Win: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=17&id=14231 or Nanni's Config all Sips: http://web.tiscali.it/Nanni/CFS/ (I prefer the former).

Its not just ships. Any vehicle as well.

You can do the fix yourself with DPed. Just add the gun. If you make it so it points down they will not shoot.

OK, I get the gun addition to stop the evading problem but is there any way to slow them down to the DP file "max" speed definition when attacked? No matter what I set their max and cruise speed at in the DP file they run at close to 30 Kts when attacked. I've even tried setting it to 0.05 Kts with no luck.
