Absolutely top class, Jankees! Waiting can be torture. Will there also be examples with invasion stripes (camouflaged and/or aluminium)?

Thanks for the previews. I've been looking forward to this release for a long time. Now, if I could only get an add-on pack with an F-5 and a droop snoot, that would be ideal. But I won't complain, I'm just happy we're finally getting a great P-38 for FSX. :)

Hope the title getting closer means she is on the verge of being released. Jan, I was hoping you would post some more of your fantastic repaints. Whatever come with the aircraft fine. All the others will be added from OZx.

Hi,

Jan Kees has, very generously, allowed us to include five of his repaints in the product. Along with the 16 paints initially included, that means there will be 21 liveries in the base package.

We are going to, with luck, be releasing this week. We will release the Tacpack versions at the same time and these will be separate products.

For those of you who purchased the P-38 Redbull DIRECT from us will get, as promised, a 5$ rebate. This rebate will only be valid on purchases that are prior to May 31st, 2015.

Thank you.

Kat.

Stan

I got an email from FSD last week informing me of an updated installer for their P-38 pack, but it doesn't mention any updates, improvements, or fixes to the model.

I haven't installed it yet btw so don't know if any of the above have been done.I did post about it here in the FSX updates thread: -

Cheers

I hope it is soon too, as I'm leaving on my next field trip by the end of next week, and how am I then going to upload the additional paints I did, like this one?

I thought about it deeply, Jankees, but I se no other option than that you cancel your trip. :jump:Waiting with uploading until you are back might result in serious damage to many of us.

My sim rig runs an i5-3570K Quad Core, 6MB L3 Cache, 3.40GHz , after the optimizations in the final build i maintain framerates in the 90's.

To be sure results vary , a twelve core i7 in the test group fully decked out with two GPU's barely gets out of the 30's range with a default aircraft, its been my observation that as a machine gets crapped up with 150+ services running in the background framerates take a hit, i am lucky insofar as the only programs that my sim computer runs are P3D and FSX , nothing else , no adobe pdf readers , graphics processing programs , nothing that wants to constantly check for updates, even a cherry install of W7 has 70 services running so they add up fast .

I used to boot in safe mode when i had few options , that will only run the essential elements of the OS and really help with FPS , but anybody who has issues with framerates can look around at the tools available for shutting down services when the sim boots, if they dont want to reboot in safe mode that is .

An i5 Can eat FSX for breakfast , all it needs to do is focus on the task
