Apparently, around 5% of GPU performance can be gained (as well as stuttering / download traffic avoided) by disabling the

Nvidia Streamer Service

I'll be checking that.

To disable it (console, elevated rights):

sc stop "NvStreamSvc"
sc config "NvStreamSvc" start= disabled

(the following is permanent, not needed to test!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)


sc delete "NvStreamSvc"

I checked that link....it's possibly important to note the most current message was a year old...so the issues may not now be relevant...;)

I opened msconfig and the services tab and just unchecked it. I gained a few frames and it got smoother, I think, I wasn't having a problem with this so I wasn't looking for much.
I hate to delete anything in FSX.
