First time I tried it, it's beautiful, however I can't figure out how to enable trackir, I'm spoiled. Hat Switches are work
FS2004 was nowhere as far as scenery is concerned, but I was able to use my trackir
And OFF of course
Just in case I'm talking Greek:

Did you create a profile for FSX and enable it?
You could copy your FS9 profile and rename it to get started.
I've been using TrackIR4 in FSX since I purchased it a
year or more ago and wouldn't be without it now!
I have a profile ofr FSX and have it checked "Exclusive-load".
You shouldn't have to jump through any hoops to get it running.

Gimpy,
That is strange indeed. TrackIR should normally work by itself, no need for you to do anything. I assume you have the TrackIR program running before you start fsx. Does the blue led lightup when fsx starts?
As GypsyBaron suggested, check your profiles. I usually assign fsx to the default "normal flight" profile and it works well.

My old TIR3 Pro works perfectly in FSX and FS9. I made a single profile for all of my flight sims and then set that profile as the default profile.
