Unfortunately, the C-119 Flying Boxcar was not within the options.

I went for three choices that for sure never is going to be picked, but I can hope.

- Grumman E-2 Hawkeye
- Saab 340
- Tupolev Tu-204/214/234

Grumman goose G-21 x3

I didn't vote for a military plane because unfortunately I don't think it will ever be tacpack compatible...considering they make a rival product. I felt like my vote was better cast for a non military application.

I too, voted for the "Bear"...

http://warfare.be/0702ey70/update/september2010/2/tu95-2.jpg

A long overdue project for FSX but not listed in the choices, the BAe TSR2... (Man would that one be a must have... for me anyway).

So I chose the Gulfstream biz jets and the North American OV-10 Bronco. (I'm currently tinkering with Piglet's FS9 OV-10D)

Darn, if it had been a top five choice vote I would have tossed lots for the T-39 Sabreliner and Lockheed Jetstar. I still remember a Jetstar was started many years ago by a payware team and it never got launched.

Regarding the poll...
I suspect that they'll go with a jetliner of some sort once the wider FS community catches wind of this poll. Likely a Boeing or Airbus type since that's what the vocal groups at most other sites want, but I certainly hope that whatever they choose is unique and/or obscure.

Yes Sean is right, we must brace for something like this (1970's 747-100). It's quite nice though, if done right....

http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/326769B747100cockpit.jpg

But here at SOH we'd rather have something more hairy, like the Tu-95 Bear (below)... or some big Antonov or Ilyushin

Anyway it's a nice move from Captain Sim, they sure got everyone attention!

But remember CS is based in Kiev, and in Ukraine these days, what's coming from the East is not always welcome, Bears, or little green men... No wonder there is mostly Boeings and Western aircrafts in the CS catalog...

An FSX native update from their Yak-3 would be very nice.
A Mig- 3 would be very nice as well.
And to complete the list an Il-2 Sturmovik

Just one of this list would make me already very happy......

Indeed, an updated YAK-3 for FSX would be most welcome.

According to Captain Sim forum: "Voting for the next project is over. Thank you for your active participation! We will contact the three randomly selected winners directly by e-mail." And the list of winners is here (http://www.captainsim.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1429048146/5#5) and here (http://www.captainsim.com/support/vote/).

The winning aircraft name is not published yet! So is it time for another heated debate about what we would like to see emerging from CS factory?

I hope they are seriously considering the famous Ilyushin Il-76, since it's quite popular East and West...
