I just watched Murphy's war the other day for the first time and I enjoyed it. I am curious to know if there is any scenery for the area of the Orinoco River where the movie was filmed for FSX?
I can imagine that the trees alone would use huge frame rates.

I just use the normal scenery for the Orinoco. its very remote. Not hard on frames at all at least on my PC.

Is that stock scenery in FSX? I'm looking for scenery with all the lush trees like in the picture ^.

I was thinking about the same thing and asked one of the SOH members who had done a lot of scenery if he might be interested in making some fictional scenery to accompany the MW duck. We can only hope somebody may attempt it. I have a VII U-boat model that is available on FS-Shipyards that I sail up the river and use FS Recorder to save it. Murphy's War is one of my all time favorite war movies and I have watched it at least six or seven times. I think Peter O'Toole is a big part of the reason I like it so much. Add "Lawrence of Arabia" as one of those great war pictures with some aircraft.

( sorry my Duck is away for the mating season )

Scattered along the shores are settlements that, with a bit of imagination, could go for Dr. Hayden's missionary :

Wouldn't be that hard for a scenery designer to create something more suitable. The missionary building, the huts and landing preferably along with Louis' houseboat crane. Possibly with the sub hiding in the bush up the river...

Any takers ?..... :teapot:

( heck, i'd love to do it myself, i've got the movie.... )

I think that would be a great scenery to create - Murphy's War complete with the sub and a crane on a boat. :encouragement:

Thought it would be great if a few things were added to the Murphy's war scenery:

Incidentally, the sub used in this movie was the former USS Tilefish.
