I am not a Heli type as I enjoy flying the GA type of aircraft but this is interesting. Actually it looks FUN! especially if you have a heli simpit to go with it. I have read the thread but have not used it myself.
X-slingload is a plugin being developed by barbarossa (sorry I do not know his real name) over at X-plane.org. It is in testing and development but things are looking positive. Also, its my understanding it can be used to tow banners behind fixed wing aircraft.
