Tested Today this CCP in many conditions. What a NICE SOFTWARE! Easy and very, very useful for "virtual combat pilots" - modern and IIWW. You can add formations with many objects, moving path, aircraft, boats from Your library, place of detonations... simply wow for me : )))) !

Another mission from CCP FSX@War.

Nato exercises. Summer, 1979, Mediterranean Sea, 4:15 GMT.
Our intelligence reported 2 ships, perhaps russian, floating on the water.

The patrol from nearest carrier was sent. MAD-sensor engaged.

http://images68.fotosik.pl/1113/0e0d85d559551b0b.jpg

After 40 minutes of flight to proper longitude & latitude (INS) we detected two russian nuclear submarines 651 Juliett and 671 RTM Victor! It looks like malfunction of one of them.

Low passes and photos!

Apart of Tacpack, CS Weapons will also be supported / integrated in FSX@War.
As a matter of fact, CS Weapons & Tacpack weapons will cause the same kind of damage
if same weapon type is used inside FSX@War.
This means weapon addons unification within FSX @War. Theoretically, users with both
solutions could fly together in Multiplayer (at least in Co-operative missions).

Some interesting features of FSX@War project :
1. A loooot of Simobjects (I'm sure they will be of a good use by scenery builders)
2. Integrated Flight Planner (for the maps of operations)
3. Ability of building new maps, ie, Operations theaters ( Vietnam easily comes in my mind. BTW : next version of CCP includes Vietnam road network)
4. Ability of saving "Campaign files" : this means that destroyed objects remain destroyed next time you will fly again.

When ? Well, with a bit of luck maybe for :santahat:

Have you tested it with Simskunkworks vACMI?

No, but there is a good chance they will be integrated before the release.
Otherwise, any user can integrate his own weapon pack in FSX@War.

Convoy&Carrier Planner (CCP) v1.3.2.8

I'm happy to announce the release of the new CCP version 1.3.2.8
that brings many new features and a lot of potential in FSX/P3D
flying (Military or not).

A full list of features of 1.3.2.8 version can be found here : http://forum.fsxwar.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&p=3898#p3898
As also an excellent video tutorial for the new version :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gP6ca4QrAsY

I'll highlight just these few features of the new version :

1. Ability to save combinations of Ground/Aircraft/Boat Convoys - Units (static & moving)
in one Mission file, ie, save a mission setting containing lots of "convoy" files with different spawn times in just one file.
That means with just one klick you can have anytime all your AI units (number & routes previously designed) placed and
be moving in predefined scheduled times in Free Flight (or in FSX Missions) for Single or Multiplay.
This new ability, turns CCP to a real "Scenario Mission Editor" for FSX/P3D.

CCP may be used to simulate a vast variety of scenarios that don't have to be of a Military nature.
Example : If you are up to firefighting or SAR you may have many AI units "operating" at the interest area, thus increasing the factor of immersion. Imagination is the limit !

2. New Ground & Airplane AI SimObjects included

3. Vietnam road network added : Add fast & easy Ground Convoys moving in Vietnam.
With the upcoming Tacpacked versions of F-4E/J and F-4B, Tacpack SAMs as also CCP, will
make for some good Vietnam mission flying...

4. Of course the ability to spawn on the Convoy (Task Force) Carrier in Single & Multiplay.
:encouragement:

Very interesting. Does the Vietnam road network also cover Laos / Cambodia? I'm asking because of the HCM trail and important east-west running roads. If not, I could offer you the extension of that road network.

Background is that I'm working on a "Laos 1968" scenario with focus on the Lima sites as well as the HCM trail.

The attached screenshots show the network as I have it now, covering Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. I'm planning to send truck convoys down the HCM routes, as well as place defensive AA along the trail as well on well known neuralgic places I gathered from various books. Your tools seem to come very handy for that enterprise!

Cheers,
Mark

Hi RW66.
Only the Vietnam roads are covered, so your offer is very welcome indeed ! I certainly want the Ho Chi Minh trail...
Since road networks have been made by other people, don't know much about it. I think it's a scenery .bgl file if
I'm correct.
So, you thing you could provide this file ? I guess it will certainly be included in the next CCP release version.
Keep in touch (!) as also with your Laos project. Sounds very interesting.

I have to think about how to integrate this. Best thing would be to merge the sources, otherwise it would overlap or some the roads would be twice in the scenery.

I'll come back to you!

Cheers,
Mark

Just for clarification :

- What is needed is the pbf road file.
- Roads must be connected to each other, ie, no lonely roads.
CCP can't handle lonely roads (since it can make a whole route over the road network by
just giving the starting and ending Wpts.)

I see - I can export the roads in PBF. I'll check the interconnection of the main routes.

I can give you the big file I have now, that covers the whole theater. If we don't have the source for the existing VN road system, we will have cut roads and no traffic between Vietnam and Laos / Cambodia.

The devs who gave you the Vietnam road network probably used the same source as I did, so in essence you'll have the same for VN with the addition of Laos / Cambodia. OK for you?

Best,
Mark

Sounds just fine !
I'll test if it works ok in CCP when I'll have it.
Thank's !

I'd like to share a video, featuring the ability of next CCP version release (currently at beta testing)
of AIs flying in different types of formations (up to 4 AIs). This is a "pair loose" formation spawned
with CCP, while I use CCP in Mission system for having my Wingman.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9GhQnlruB8

Another big feature of next CCP version, is the ability of user to place static simobjects using
FSX virtual environment for this, ie, by moving his plane in slew inside FSX defines the position of each
simobject to be placed.
All these, can be saved then in just one "CCP Mission" file for easy re-opening at any time.

In my point of view, CCP is the ultimate AI traffic tool, for defining specific AI Traffic of all sorts (planes, vehicles, boats),
for military operations or otherwise... I use it for making vehicle and plane traffic at the AirBases I fly for a feel of "Living"
AirBase.
FlightPlans may be used for this, but concern only planes and timming cannot be precise as with CCP...
