Now that Nick B has produced a superb repaint of the Hangar 11 Collection Hurricane "Pegs", for the Justflight model, the entirety of the flying Hangar 11 Collection (http://hangar11.co.uk/) is now complete in virtual form. I thought I'd take a selection of screenshots of all four to post together (may eventually have to do some FS Recorder formation work).

Hangar 11's Hurricane "Pegs". Aircraft by Justflight, repaint by Nick Bradin.

And Hangar 11's P-51 "Jumpin Jacques". Aircraft by Warbirdsim (and/or one can also use the very fine A2A model, with a superb repaint by Jan Kees).

That's a lovely paint isn't it and nice shots too:encouragement: I've got the P-51 (and Hurricane) but don't have those paints for the P-40 or Spit. Could you point me in the right direction for model and paint please:biggrin-new:

EDIT: since I started typing this, your other shots appeared with descriptions I'd asked for so disregard. Is Lulu Belle available?

EDIT#2.. dagnab it.. I already have Lulu Belle:banghead: I need a beer!

hahahahaha:biggrin-new:

I realise now why I don't have that paint in FSX. I have the P-40N, Fighter Bomber and Long Range.. not the model for that particular paint. I do have the paint though!:banghead:

Sorry John, PL965 is a PR Mk.XI so has no cannon and a deeper-than-standard chin to accommodate the extra-large oil reservoir for the extra range of the PR birds.

Yeah, I know, but I have to take what I can get. ; ) The Hangar 11 Hurricane isn't a Mk.I either, as the JF model is, but rather a ground-support/bomber version of the Mk.IIb. Also, the Hangar 11 P-40 is an M-model, so although it is nearly identical to the early N-model from the Flight Replicas set, it has 6-guns rather than the 4-guns of the early-N. The Mustang model was built to exactly recreate the real-world restored example (but that's rather an extreme).

The repaint for the RealAir Spitfire, if you don't already have it, is available here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=180&linkid=16917

Lovely John:encouragement: It's probably a silly question but as you're here.. will the P40 paint only fit that model or could it be shoehorned onto one of the others? I don't want to buy the 'Light' model just for that paint although stranger things have happened.. a fool and his money e t c:very_drunk:

Dave, I suspect it would work fairly okay - at least it would be worth a try if you are interested in the repaint. The only big difference is in the canopy textures, which would be the deciding factor one way or the other.

Dave, not to worry... the amount of hours I've been putting towards the P-39 in recent weeks has warranted a bit of flight sim flying on this day. ; )

Hi John:)
Yes.. I realised shortly after that the canopy could be a stumbling block. Still.. it's worth a try although I like to have the right paint on the right model. Think I should have bought the 'full' set after all but I only fly it high days and holidays so chose the more likely candidate.

Cheers me dears;)

I quite understand and I normally don't like to publish inaccurate repaints (except whatif's). But this was a private commission and the Readme makes clear it's not meant as an accurate representation of the aircraft.

So there......:a1310:!

And thanks John for some great screenies and 'free publicity'!

hahahahaha:biggrin-new:

I pointed the paint to the 2007 XIV and am blissfully 'sans' canons.. for what it's worth:very_drunk: Can't do anything about the chin mind you.
