Thank you very much, I'll download it as soon as I can, since it is a major airbase that I'm used to fly in.
I'm sure you did a fantastic work, your screenshots shows a stunning level of details!

Fantastic scenery from this pair. Plenty of detail all over the airfield. Installing military AI aircraft, really brings it to life. Great stuff !!!!:encouragement:

Thanks very much for the kind comments folks :encouragement: We hope you enjoy the scenery as much as we enjoyed producing it.

The airfield lighting was a 'last minute' update from using effects based lights to texture based pan splashes and lights so we hope you benefit from the improved performance on frps.

Also the Ground crew and Pilots are a 'new' feature for us but they'll be included in future releases.

Had a couple of flights in and out of it already and it's great. I don't know about anyone else but when I am parked by the refuelling areas the sim doesn't let me open the canopy of my aircraft. Fantastic scenery tho.

Glad you like the scenery and well done for spotting the 'glitch' that FSX won't allow your canopy / doors open when refueling! We thought it was nicer to have the Pantograph refueling simulation and put up with the closed 'bone dome'... Perhaps it's in case of the fumes or Health and Safety about using your mobile!

If it's really annoying for you then just remove the file 'DeciFuelTriggers.bgl' from your Decimomannu FSX\Scenery folder. You'll have to refuel your aircraft manually afterward of course.

Regards :encouragement:

Glad its a glitch with FSX and not with the scenery itself. I think there will be plenty of hours flown out of there, I never realised how good the island is for flying with mountains (although small ones) just to the west inbetween the base and the range and then the nice coast line. I think you guys made a good choice in making this one:applause:

Installed and flew it. Very nice work !
Especially the fact that a photoreal Range is included, will make for some weapon practice over there.
Thank's for this !

Is anyone else having scenery crash detections? If there's an issue, I may have overlooked it in the readme but I am having a crash issue as soon as my aircraft loads.

Hi Storm,

Very sorry you're experiencing problems with Crash Detection turned On. We have had two reports of this already and after investigation we subsequently found a glitch with our scenery.

We do have a fix for this already and we'll release it to Avsim and Flightsim.com as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience in the meantime.

Best regards, Dave.

Dave, I got the fix and am very happy to report that the fix did cure the issue. From inside the sim, the scenery looks absolutely fantastic!
Thank you!

Very nice scenery!

Thank you!

I agree, it's an excellent scenery, congratulation to the author!
BTW I have the same issue with objects collisions (during the first tests I had the collisions turned off, so I didn't know). May I ask the patch to fix it? Thanks a lot in advance!

P.s.: Zsolt, you're running the bombing path in the wrong way ;)

Great scenery indeed, excellent!
I loose the lighting effects after a while when flying the M2M Mirage 2000 (PAPI, strobes and hold short strobes). Anyone else experiencing this? This is in Prepar3D 2.5.

I have installed this scenery and really like it. I would like to ask if this scenery can
"blend" with this freeware one : http://www.rikoooo.com/en/downloads/viewdownload/68/747

As also, has anyone installed this Corsica fotoscenery ? Looks really nice. Thank you.

EDITED : I messed up the places... It;s Sardinia and not Corsica... Though there is also one for Sardinia over there !

Dave Torkington
March 29th, 2015, 13:16
Hi xpelekis,

We assume that you mean blending the Decimomannu Photoreal with the Sardinia Photoreal by Diego PapaRella?

If so, then unfortunately we can't blend the included Decimomannu Photoreal to suit but could I make a suggestion?

You can temporarily remove the Photoreal .bgl file named 'DeciPhotoreal.bgl' from the Decimomannu FSX\Scenery folder and rebuild the scenery. Then, the Diego PapaRella Photoreal will display fully for you. However, we can't guarantee that the 'Deci' Addon Scenery will align perfectly with his photoreal.

Hope this helps to some degree...

Dave.

hi

I am enjoying your Deci scenery very much, only issue I have discovered yesterday is that the runway lights go out completely when landing, specifically after a certain distance has been approached... All the other scenery lights are working fine and looking great. Anybody else experiencing this? I'd love to resolve this, since I have made Deci my home base... Is there any fix for that? It's the only airport I have runway light issues with (so far)...
Let me know if I need to make screenshots to illustrate the issue...

For users of this scenery that wish to fly the mission demonstrated in video, you may
download it here : https://app.box.com/s/ox6sew7uzwvstny9qa2y9kkrpzywrvb1

Though mission is intended for the Tacpack, it doesnot need it to run. Mission spawns with
the native F-18 acceleration, but you may change to any aircraft you wish (though wingman
will always be the F-18 "US NAVY").

Have fun!

It's not a program. Just an FSX Mission that does the job.

I'm not sure about what you mean, but if you don't get your Wingman moving (I guess you see him to your left),
remember to run "Simvar.exe" before flying the mission : after FSX starts, go to
your FSX folder, find the folder named "Extensions" and run as admin the .exe

If this is it, hope this helps.

I would like to MIL traffic

I have installed much of the AI military traffic packages from the MAIW guys, and I have to say, Decimomannu looks very busy most of the time, less so on weekends...
Everyone, feel free tu use these pictures as previews for this magnificent scenery...

Great pics! I also use this scenery a lot of the time, mostly for a few of the SSW aircraft and weapons practice on the nearby weapons ranges. Mine does not look as busy as yours though. I will have to do something about that.

I use the freeware Italy PR with this base over the top and it works really well like that out of the box.

Cheers,

I use it as my home base when on Mediterranean deployment. Absolutely love this scenery.
