I really don't know what it is but it's not an Osprey. It won't be British either if you were searching for a Northrop aircraft (though I admit.. what comes up in Google searches often isn't worth space on the page):biggrin-new:

I think it could be a Spanish Vildebeeste, which had an inline engine.

It was a British light bomber / torpedo bomber / army co-op a/c in the thirties, also built in Spain. The last British examples suffered heavily in the opening months of the Pacific war. NZ were the last users, and one is being restored there.

Vickers Vildebeest. There's a lot about it on Wikipedia. If you were asking about the spelling, it's a play on Wildebeeste, with a V to go with the Vickers naming policy.
