With you coming to FSX Cees the views are just off the chart so you quickly run out of numbers hehe :encouragement:

I'm not looking Cees, this reply is being generated automatically by a computer. It is so advanced it does the whole thing without my input or knowledge, as can be noticed there are no smelling mistakes in my thread, so it is guaranteed nothing can go rong, go wrong, go romg.......

Of course you can! You might also want to clear the cache of your browser. Maybe then you will see the number of views!

Better than 0 views and 10 replies than 100 views and 0 replies.

You can ask serious questions all you want........ as long as you don't expect serious replies. :a1310:

But seriously...... something IS wrong. I just noticed on the Jon Patch thread that I get new replies WITHOUT the number of views rising...... when you reply, you must also view the post. And then it jumped from 8 to 113 all of a sudden..... and it is stuck there again.

I guess the forum software is just tired of us.....

Cees,

Perhaps clear cache and cookies as I can see the number of views and the number of replies. I've checked in IE, Chrome and Firefox and the number show in all browsers.
Your "a Panorama" had just over 1,000 views and 23 replies.

Cheers,
Huub

If it's anything like Stardock's forums/sites [which I admin] it'll be a server cache refresh issue.
They are always lagging/out of sync...;)

hahahahaha..

There is something slightly odd about the way SoH works. On any other forum I visit, I can read all the new posts and/or use 'mark topics read' and the next time I visit be it 5mins or half an hour, if there were no new posts, the forums remain read. Here.. not so. I can read all the new posts and use 'mark forum read' for the bits I'm not interested in then come back 5mins later (for example) and most of the time.. the posts I've already read will show as new again!! It could be something my pc is doing of course but I only see this here. Strange but true...

Dave,

As I don't have this issue, it might be a problem at your side. BTW the "refresh as read option" doesn't work when you use the "back button". (I hope this sentence makes some sense.......)

Huub,

Cees is asking about screenies/attachments, not the thread count/replies, I think. I have the same issue, attachment views never rises for mine or others files. Odd.

Jamie.

PS. Using Opera browser (only way to go!!)

Jamie,

According to the opening post Cees is referring to the thread and screenies. I think there is no counter on views for the attached images, but just for downloads for other type of files. In my case, attached pictures are shown in a reasonable size, due to which I don't have to open them.

Cheers,
Huub

Hi Huub:wavey:

No.. I don't use the back button. I come to the FSX forum.. read the threads I'm interested in then click on 'mark topics read' for the rest. I may then click on 'the simulators' and have a browse to see what's happening there or.. go to the home page and have a quick look there or.. simply hit the white X in the top RH corner. After I made the post you replied to, I came back to the FSX forums a few mins later and MY post was showing as unread!!!:dizzy: It's definitely something unique to SoH;)
