It was good to see a different view of the Mechanics Bay (Auckland NZ) seaplane base.

Here's an old photo my Mum had which was passed onto me.

I believe it's the Sikorsky S-42 Pan American Clipper II NC-16734

There was a photo of a Boeing Model 40A on skis; first time I saw one like that.

I've had it for years and suspected it was at Mechanics Bay in Auckland.

A few weeks ago on the Historic NZ Facebook page there were two other photos taken around the same period from the same location.
