Track IR and P3D

So I just got a Track IR 5. But I can't seem to get to work in P3D. I have the Track IR software open before I start the sim, but do I need to enable it in the controls somewhere? I do have the sim installed in another drive than the default, would that do anything to confuse trackIR?
