Got this new Blaupunkt 320 radio for my P'up for Christmas. Installed yesterday. The installation instructions are weak at best but managed to get it installed

Much to my surprise, I found out it is made in China. There are 4 bands or area setting that have to be make depending on you location

And the Europe Bands cover different frequencies in Europe than USA.

That's about it. And everything else Wal-Mart/Amazon sells. :adoration:

Don't know 'bout now, but Blaupunkt was, at one time, one of (if not THE finest) car stereo available! NC

I have a one man crusade. Made in China and it doesn't get bought. Hence I own virtually nothing anymore. :biggrin-new:

The Hop Sing Gesellschafte.

Naismith: Since we owe them much of our national debt, in a way, they own US.

I am sending mine back to Amazon. The clock doesn't work properly. I set it and then it changes to a different time on its own. Got RMA from Amazon for refund.
Think I'll go to Best Buy or some brick and mortar store for something I can demo before I buy. That way, if it craps out during warranty I can just take it back.

Did not like that Europe settings and USA setting they had in the Blaupunkt either. I had a Panasonic that had a head piece that was crapping out (going blank)
other then that if they still make them, I'd get another one of those as I really liked the features and its superb sounds.

Edit: Went to Best Buy and got a Kenwood KDC-HD458U

We have owned two Jeep Libertys, and the clock in the radio loses time rapidly. It's hard to believe that this technology eludes the makers of radios. I also have a JVC audio cd player in which the clock also loses time. It's as if these were made in some other dimension.

The Blaupunkt?

One thing I did not like about the German radio (Made in China) :) is that it has a Europe mode and USA and other country modes. The Europe mode had a nice equalizer in it and not so
in the other modes. I guess there is no such thing as AM radio frequencies (535 to 1705 kHz)

About a year ago I got tired of driving around with a dead radio with its obsolete cassette player. Got myself a new Panasonic radio and DVD player unit along with SiriusXM satellite radio and new door speakers. Now I have my tunes wherever I go. My vehicle is a '96 Dodge Dakota so the sound system and my new front shocks are the only things of value installed on the truck. :biggrin-new:
