I'm getting this strange fenomenon: the texture is distorted on one half of the polygon. It's diagonal , the seperation. Anyone seen this before? Is there a remedy?

I suspect distortion that bad is due to a duff model.

Is this a model that you made?

If not, where did you get it?

You can load the model in Mode Converter X and examine the texture mapping.

Also, from a technical standpoint, all polys are triangles in FS so what you are seeing is one bad poly, not half of a bad poly.

Lane,

It's a model I made myself. There is nothing wrong with the model. The polygons on which these textures are put, are split off to be seperate parts. Could that be the reason?

Due respect, if the texture doesn't look like that then the problem is with the model.

Can you recompile it?

Hard to say without seeing the actual model.

Load the model in MCX and look at the texture mapping...

I suspect the squares on that part of the model will be distorted.

Lane,

I don't have that option in ModeconverterX? I think I'll use a 'dirty' solution: just add a box that fits the space and texture that one.

Cees,

You must be using v1.3.

Do yourself a favor and get the latest development release.

V1.4 has so much more than 1.3 that 1.3 is not worth much anymore.

Happy Holidays to you and yours.
