Though it could be divided up, a little more appropriately. For example, a 50-'s era vintage GA isn't the GA of today..

+1. I tried interesting Thomas over at Bookmark some years ago, but he wasn't interested at the time.
I thought it makes a logical progression from his Draken.

Seriously? So these guys are supposed to put all their time and effort into an aircraft etc just to give it to you for free because you're to cheap to pay for it?

edit...Oh yeah P-61 Black Widow.

b52bob, check out this Tu-144D. I LOVE it, but it takes a lot of setup and is very peculiar. But this thread is VERY helpful.
Anyways, for FSX I wish there was an Aerion AS2, a SAI QSST, and Sukhoi S-21. Anyone know if someone is working on any of those right now?

Hi there Tom!
Yep, I said the "S" word. For as many times the subject has come up, I'm honestly shocked that one has not been made yet. The resources are out there. Plenty enough to make an honest re-creation.

Canards need some recognition in our simulator too! :encouragement:

1) Production single seat and two seat versions of the Northrop F-23A (http://www.aerospaceprojectsreview.com/blog/?p=422).
2) The Velocity V-Twin (http://www.aopa.org/News-and-Video/All-News/2012/August/29/Velocitys-V-Twin).
3) A quality Piper Aerostar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piper_Aerostar) native to FSX. It would also be great if there was an add on of the super modified turboprop Aerostar, the Speedstar 850 (http://www.tejasaero.com/references.html) as well.

My main military interest is post WWII nav ops, but also have bouts of Cold War SAC nostalgia. Have populated some SAC bases, e.g., Loring, Barksdale, Seymour Johnson and Carswell with AI B-36's, B-47's, B-52's and just got the "Supersonic Supermodel" - B-58 Hustler. Most of these AI I have converted from flyables and the fps is not bad on my high end system if I keep the numbers small. I usually have a bunch of parked planes (rarely more than a dozen) and some doing TNG's at each base, putting flightplans together manually using TTools. Gives a great atmosphere.

Beside the bombers, there are lots of fighters to fly from this period, obviously the Century Series, both free and payware. Must have been growing up as a kid in the 60's and watching movies like Strategic Air Command, A Gathering of Eagles, Dr Strangelove (an all time favorite film), Fail Safe, etc that captured the attraction of this period.

As the Cold War has been rated highly here in this poll, I encourage others interested also to check out the MAIW "Retro AI" and other forum pages that cover this era.

I really would love (and pay) for the Ju-88 family.Best we can get today are CFS2 portovers-good but way behind todays standards.Even an output without VC of the CFS2 one in FSX to swap in annother VC would be great

And if we think about more christmas'ses a Ju-288 too

I woud love to get my grubby paws on a Piaggio P136 Gull, on which the P166 (of which we have quite a few) is based on.
It will be great to complete the family of these unusual aircraft.

1) F-15D with back-seat controls (since that's the one fighter I have actual stick time on!)
2) F-8E Crusader (native FSX)
3) XF8U-3 Super Crusader (I know that's super-niche, but it'd be amazing!)
4) F5D Skylancer (Same as above : )

Variety is the most important for me. Too much of one thing makes it boring. While I love the uber realistic GAs from A2A/RealAir, but I don't fly them ALL the time, likewise with the warbirds, vintage GA, tubes, military jets, gliders...etc Likewise flying different 'mission' types keeps FSX fresh...ie short A-B, long A-B, bush flying, aerobatics/airshow routines, sight seeing, flight training/skills refreshers.

We all have our 'wish lists' but in the end it doesn't matter, as long as the developers get to make what they are passionate about and want to make...not what they think we want them to make. This can be said for any artist, musician, chef, software developer...etc...anyone who creates things. Do they create what they excites them, taking chances to bring new things, occasionally producing a 'dud' or do they reproduce what they think will sell lots of copies. I find I typically enjoy things from 'creators' more than I do from 'reproducers', even if what is being created doesn't fit my tastes, I really respect the creative process.:santahat:

Cheers

I just noticed the other day that Flysimware also has mention of a MU-2 on their homepage. Probably quite a ways off, but still presumably in the works.
