Anyone else getting CDTs when trying to use this great aircraft in FSX? Are there any other good quality Mitchells for FSX?

I bought it when i still had FS9, but downloaded the update stuff on their site for FSX. Maybe I should try removing and reinstalling it, as it didn't seem like the most straight forward update.

..for which repaints like this one are not allowed:

and it is still a FS9 port over

and it is still a FS9 port overI loved it in FS9, but not in FSX. Still no yoke, and too much effort and gauge registration on the panel just to load it.

I stand corrected; I noticed that the textures are in BMP and not DDS format. I noticed choices to d/l for FS9 or FSX not realizing that it was a portover for compatibility for FSX. :shame:

I have no issues with the Mitchells in FSX, but in P3Dv2... CDT's. And I might add MAAM's Mitchell is the only one with a gunship. I had started refreshing the original skins, but no go in P3Dv2.

As far as props "disappearing" behind the clouds goes, I have no issue. See for yourself:

gray eagle,
If you look close in both your first and second pic, the props do go behind the clouds. Its more pronounced in
the second pic. Not that its a deal breaker, the MAAM B-25j is still one of the best Mitchells out there for such
an old model. That is until the VS (native FSX) B-25b is released.

Yep.. I thought that too. It's a good prop blur though so it doesn't show as bad as some;)

Yep, I think the MAAM birds will be with me for quite while longer! Nothing like having eight 50's in the nose! :adoration:

I think I have to watch the beginning of Catch22 again. The mass takeoff and the sound of the B-25s makes one's eyes watery. I think MAAM got the idea of the pilot hanging out his arms out of the cockpit window from that movie.

Cheers,
Mark

Agreed, that's classic :-) :-) That takeoff is one of the most stunning aircraft scenes ever filmed, in my opinion.

I consume that on a 46" tv and a dolby surround set :-)

I'm getting ctds with the B 25 which I haven't had before. I have the gaugesound.dll in FsX root folder but the event log suggests it is the MAAMgauge that causes the ctd. Any ideas?

I would think that either the gaugesound.dll is corrupt or MAAMgauge is. I'd go for a reinstall of the Maam Sim, maybe that might buff the kinks out. :adoration:
