Zsolt, you are a painting machine/maestro! You absolutely should sell your wares as they are simply amazing. The fact that you freely give them is a phenomenal gift and we are blessed to have such a talented artist, as well as so many other artists, in our gathering. Thank you for keeping the bar held high.

My apologies if it was someone else work, it's simply amazingly good! My hat's off to the artist. That being said, Zsolt still has some fantastic paints that he's displayed on this site. Thank you to all artists.

Selling is out of the question due to EULA.
That paint is not free but part of the official M2M M2000 package.

Hank

Hank, I completely understand and it was not meant with sincerity, just a comment in general. Admittedly, the Mirage isn't really my taste, but it's the showcased paints that have been demonstrated here that have really given me much consideration about purchasing this beauty. With that being said, it's always been the beautiful paints presented mostly on this site, that have often driven my wallet getting lighter. So, again, thank you to all of you artists that take so much time and pride in brining to life those otherwise lifeless polygons. You're my heroes.

This aircraft is in no way 'cheap', but it is seriously value for money.

Everything, including the exceptional textures, is well above average for FSX.

It really is a nice looking aircraft...

Every single time I look at one of the new build threads I consider buying it, but common sense tells me I don't have time to fly it right now so I should wait.

Dang it.

It'll probably be bought shortly.

Yeah well, I got caught with that hook big time. Im now the proud owner of a Mirage 2000c. Guess I will be spending the weekend figuring out what works and what doesnt in this "open beta" and learning the systems. :mixed-smiley-010: The one thing I will credit the French and the Russians for...they make some damn beautiful airplanes.

One thing I cant figure out is how to turn on the HUD. I toggle the right buttons on the unit to turn it on, but no go. and I did ****!

Also, Zsolt, you got any repaints publically available now for this?

http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/960433Mirage2000cBodo.jpg

Remove all stations except station 0 (pilot), like this:

station_load.0 = 220, 0, 0.000, 0.000, "Pilot"
//station_load.1 = 200, 0, -10.774, -2.887, "STA1" // 0
//station_load.2 = 600, 0, -7.635, -2.887, "STA2" // 1
//station_load.3 = 800, 0, -3.583, -2.549, "BL1" // 2
//station_load.4 = 800, 0, -2.611, -2.493, "BL2" // 3
//station_load.5 = 1, 0, -0.327, 0.429, "LGUN" // 4
//station_load.6 = 150, 0, 0.000, -2.530, "STA3" // 5
//station_load.7 = 1, 0, 0.327, 0.429, "RGUN" // 6
//station_load.8 = 800, 0, 3.583, -2.549, "BL3" // 7
//station_load.9 = 800, 0, 2.611, -2.493, "BL4" // 8
//station_load.10 = 600, 0, 7.635, -2.887, "STA4" // 9
//station_load.11 = 200, 0, 10.774, -2.887, "STA5" // 10

Maybe there is a clever way of doing this, but I couldn't find any, with this version...

All I can say, is that tacpack is great money spent. It adds value not only with the weapons, but with AI tankers on demand etc. Just makes a lot of these military birds that much better to fly.

I thought there ewre numerical ways of installing pylons and weapons? Has this been eliminated now with the new build? If so I'm keeping the build I have. Also, how do I get the canopy to open all the way?

First Shift-E to crack open and then click on the little handle on the side to push up. Then to close click on the handle again and then Shift-E to fully close.

Off to get the new build! I spent a delightful evening yesterday patrolling the Aegean and doing touch 'n goes on all the islands. What a joy!

Same as with the previous build, you still can configure the visual loadouts by entering pound values in the Payload Settings - FYI the A/A stuff and tanks:

STA1: R550= 12, empty pylon= 5
STA2: RP541 tank= 20, S530D=13, empty pylon= 8
STA3: RP522 tank= 21, empty pylon= 5
STA4: RP541 tank= 20, S530D= 13, empty pylon= 8
STA5: R550= 12, empty pylon= 5

For no pylons enter zero Lbs.

I don't use the A/G stuff but you can find their values in the tacpack.ini file, FYI as an example the "STA1" definition:

[Store_Station.0] <= this is aircraft.cfg "station_load.1" "STA1"
offset = -7.733, -10.774, -2.887
num_entries = 1
store.0 = R.550-Magic2, 12,0,5,0,0 <= use 1st number to show weapon, 3rd number for empty pylon

Have you noticed that the view rolls abruptly when applying aileron? An effect like the pilot's head it tilted due to the rotation. Although a nice effect for violent maneuvers, it is also there in small roll movements and makes it hard to align your glidepath on approach. Is anyone else seeing this? I have an impression it was introduced in 0.9901 as I do not remember it before.

Btw are the changes in every release recorded anywhere? I could not find release notes on the M2M site. Are they only found in beta testers area?

I know there are some points to work on, but it is on a good way.
Wish I had more time for painting.

What is FPS like? Compared to something like the Virtavia A-4, or the Restauravia MIIIB?

Thx,

Daniel, FPS are outstanding! Even better compared to the Virt. A-4 ( is my opinion ).

Cheers,

Yes, like Hank said, this airplane is very framerate friendly!!
If you like the way the mirage MIIIB flies, than you will love this one.
The thrust lets you climb to the sky like a rocket and the high landing speed is a nice challenge every time.

Thanks Hank and Christof.

I think I'm going to make this one my Christmas present to myself...

These repaints are gorgeous, I should add. 10/10.

Hello hello,
here is my next little quiz.
It will be the last before the next uploads.
This paint is more exotic and I am curious if you find out what country this painting belongs to:wiggle:.
So here is the snap:

I'm not 100% sure - but I'm thinking based off USAF Aggressor-marked F-16, 354th FW, Elison AFB, AK? - as in this ...

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16520&stc=1

I can think of few things hotter than those red Bort numbers outlined in yellow ...

If so, I'm thrilled at an Aggressor paint. If (only if) you do a USN or USMC adversary ... I will spontaneously combust!

Anyway - whatever it is, it looks amazing.

Hint: an asian county that uses a russian fighter.
( I thought of painting some aggressors but someone else stept right in as I have seen)

Hmmmm .... I'm not that good with post Cold War / modern jets - but maybe a PLAAF J-10 type of scheme?

Hmmmm .... I'm not that good with post Cold War / modern jets - but maybe a PLAAF J-10 type of scheme?

Well no. Wrong again. But this time it was realy not an easy task.
So here is the whole paint:

In RL you will find the paintsheme on the SU-27 of the indonesian airforce.
I am not sure if there are any indonesean folks around the sim-outhouse but I wanted to replicate something different this time (same as the JASDF paint).

Next thing to do:
Thunbnails and uploading.

Have a nice weekend,

Christoph

Nice - I didn't know the Indonesian Su-27s wore Bort numbers ... though if I'd have thought about it, it makes sense!

Great work, Christoph - as always!

That tanker on their facebook page looks pretty nice!

Of course, it remains to be seen whether I'll be able to use it. It took me half an hour the other night to get barely half full with fuel in the F-14. Most of my time was spent trying to chase down the tanker without overshooting it. And then I found I had real issues with over-correcting from side to side, causing all sorts of dancing about. :)

Keep the nosewheel up, and use aerodynamic braking?

I just pick nice long runways to land at, and wear out the (virtual) brakes. :)

Dimus
December 18th, 2014, 07:58
Both above suggestions work very nicely after some practice. You can even stop in shortish runways if you keep you approach at marginal speed and a shallow glidescope.

now that would explain it... :173go1:

with it being my first landing I was coming in a little hot.

and I started using the suggested slowdowns, as mentioned works quite well
