Hey everyone. Thought I would take a minute to share a first look video of Flysimware's latest project with all of you. We've worked very hard over the last 9 months to deliver a realistic and faithful aircraft, and we think you'll really enjoy it. Have a look! More details to follow as we approach release.

Can't be too specific, but I'd say it's a safe bet she'll be in your hangar in the next few weeks!

Really liked the details mentioned in your video, Joe. If I can afford it, I will add it to my hangar as well. NC

Joe,

+1. Excellent details were built into this and really adds an aura of realism. One thing I noticed during the demo, the one seat that doubles as a commode.
Is the real plane like that? Hate to sound like a prude, but I'd prefer better privacy for the head, or else hold it till after landing at the next FBO. :indecisiveness:

I am impressed at the details that went into coding this plane :encouragement: I wonder what the damages are ($$$) to have just one those engines overhauled in real life?
Like I've heard, the difference between men and boys are the price of their toys. :adoration:

EDIT: found the answer to the price of one engine ovhl = $175,000 (2008 price)

here is article I found on real plane

Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone! The "potty seat" as its called by owners and operators is absolutely a feature found in 99% of all the Conquests flying. It is seperated from the rest of the cabin by a sliding door (not animated.) The TPE-331s are about $200,000 per engine for an overhaul in today's market.

Nice video Joe and good looking product. Glad you have the option for the mccauley Prop since I prefer the look of them over the others. I have lots of respect for the modeler, nice details and good UVmapping skills, but the textures need some work IMO. I believe this was discussed over at FSDeveloper on the 402 also, having some AO shadows baked into the textures. FSX has a really poor lighting engine and as such AO really needs to be faked to a small degree to give a realistic look, especially in the VC. Also the seats have too much specular on them (too shiny). Systems wise, you guys have a solid release it seems, but I am a graphics guy and as such focus on that aspect of a model.

I was so hoping with the cabin walk thru the attractive female copilot would appear in the video, so dissapointed, LOL. Good luck with the release, should do well for you guys! :applause:

Thanks Michael! Really appreciate your kind words. We are doing a few new things in terms of textures with this release, and a few of the textures in the video are not finalized yet.

Thanks again!

Release should be in the next few weeks if all goes to plan, perhaps sooner! Pricing is still being determined.

For those of you who may have missed it, here is the engine start video!

There are a few features included in the aircraft that were not implemented at the creation of the video, most notable being the fully function start locks found on Garrett engines.

That is neat and the Garret is so different from the P&W PT-6, nice job. I do have the C402 and it's nice, biggest problem I'm having is blurry scenery. My old computer does not seem to get along with high definition textures and it only takes a few minutes of flying for the ground to go blurry, sometimes the aircraft goes blurry too.

Hope its soon, had the older version from someone else wasn't a very good airfile. Would love to have it in my hanger.

That was from Flight1. I have that model. . .had forgotten I had it actually til I went looking for another aircraft on my DVD's and found it. Unfortunately it must have been a very early FSX version. . it looks great in the sim, excellent VC but nothing is clickable in P3D_V2.4. . .too bad.

Waiting on the takeoff video he said he would do. I had the old flight 1 model had issues with Ap would climb at default climb rate so tha thad to be set to zero, also had issue with EGT on start up would always go to max and stay there, required you to push the start button a second time once EGT started climbing which seemed to settle it to a realistc value, still hope this ones better it does look like it so far.

I am going to wait until they have it over at Flightsim.com plus wait & see how well it does(if service packs will be needed, etc). I have kind of a glut of turboprops & other stuff right now & do not need to jump quite yet. Having used to service Conquest I's & II's, I will end up buying it for sure.

Hello again everyone,

The takeoff video is somewhat on the back burner at the moment. I am currently in the process of developing a series of videos that will be a sort of "ground school" for flying our 441. It will cover everything from systems overview to takeoffs and landings. They will discuss appropriate power settings, good operational techniques, etcetera. The 441 should be hitting all major stores in the next few days.

Hello Everyone,

As most of you are aware, the Cessna 441 Conquest II has been released for all of you to enjoy. Visit www.flysimware.com for more information.

Also, our video tutorial series is progressing quite nicely. The first two videos have been released and are currently on YouTube. Here is the first one, detailing the aircraft and its systems:

Here is the second video, explaining the Garrett TPE-331's start locks.

Here is a sneak peak of the new gyro/avionics fan and gear horn sounds, just one of many revisions planned for Revision 2.

Flysimware puts out solid aircraft, they just are not the texture artists like Carenado... but at least Flysimware gets the systems modeling as good as they can within the confines of the FSX engine.
