Sorry I thought I told you, when I did a reinstall the last time I was home in May/jun I inadvertently lost all the working psd files for that paint and the others I had started when I wiped my fsx folder

Great repaints, that AP-3 paint matches the background perfectly, nice addition of the weathered panel lines. Hope you do re-look at the MH-60 repaint.

No, I guess I must of not got the word, I have the texture, would it help if I sent you the texture folder with the files in it? You mentioned back then that it was about 90% done
and needed just a few final touches on it. Let me know what to do.

What you have so far look great.

Thanks

LOL! Outstanding, though they look a bit "heavily shadowed" for Air Force types in that nice of a plane. I'm sure it's just the light. Great nonetheless.

Battlefield Airlifter Version 1.0 incoming!

We're hard at work putting some final touches to Version 1.0 of the IRIS Airforce Series - Battlefield Airlifter product.

This product is a direct result of the Tactical Airlifter MLU project to improve upon the existing Tactical Airlifter product and is FREE to ALL existing purchasers of the IRIS - Airforce Series - Tactical Airlifter or IRIS Pro S...eries - C27J Spartan products.

The adjustments to this product are significant and come at no additional cost.

Some of the more obvious changes in this version are as follows;

Improved Flight Dynamics to provide more agile handling and improve upon the existing short field landing and take-off characteristics.

A complete rework of the on-board displays to improve their clarity and function.

Addition of an FMS unit which gives the capability to manage the aircraft's customised systems and monitor preset FSX/P3D flight plans.

The ability to manage aircraft configurations 'on the fly', adding and configuring various individual components such as AEW items and MC-27J style items.

Volumetric Propellers

There are more changes, but these ones are at the top of my head..

September 22nd, 2014, 16:46
Maybe, but past history from iris shows it's talk most of the time

I recall about >12mths ago when I was refused a refund that it was going to be a month away

We heard stuff like this every few months the only thing that changes was it was going to cost for the upgrade and now it's free

I wouldn't be surprised like most of the other iris model that it gets pulled from sale because they have a falling out with its original creator like the f16,f15, soon to be pc21 and twister

Nice work Jeansy. I did that repaint on the CH47 and ran into an issue with their mapping on the right main exit door. Have you noticed the same issue? Its mapped to the left side textures so my silver line is incomplete.

Cheers, I only do this to switch off from the real world, juggling a heavy admin job, 7mth old kid, nagging wife, shoulder injuries and the lack of ability to do some of my main passions due to medical restraints and my OCD , its a good way to zone out even though its only for several hrs a week

If I can knock over 1 day day i would be happy

i may have several paints a week I start I only end up completing half of those

I want to re do most of the c46 schemes as I find them very basic and cartoonist, once i have them I will upload them as a package as for the other ones, its a as time permits or motivated to upload

I love the different look for the PC-12. I have the F1, though not installed on my computer. But, the Carenado I do have installed. Any plans for that guy? It's, for some strange reason (mainly function over form I believe), one of my favorite planes. Definitely my favorite GA aircraft if I am flying in FSEconomy. I have two there.

Have you ever seen the "special" PC-12 with the black paint with stars on it? Pretty interesting. I'll have to search for a pic of it.

So I was hacking away at a repaint for the Milviz Huey as RAN 898. Then I had a thought, and checked. Of course, jeansy has already done it... lol

And then I checked again and everything I was planning to do, has been done already. I guess I'll have to think harder! Well done that man.

Another great release of your artwork. Looks like I will have to go and get the FR P40, which actually looks a lot better overall to the version I have, released by Iris as a package 'Aces of the Commonwealth'.

I have the Boomerang so these paints are a welcome addition. (The Boomerang was well an interesting aeroplane, lot of work to make it happen too late and too slow before it was ready to do anything. I had a late uncle who flew them before going back to the MKIX Spitfire in Burma, he did not have many kind words for the Boomer, reckoned it could bite bad and hard on the turn from base to final on the unsuspecting and was well stodgy, after the Spitfire it would have been).

Is that the Abacus Wellington? it is the only half decent one I have.

Thanks and appreciated.

Its the FCS Wellington, (Daniel from Alphasim) I must admit it has one of the best VCs ive encountered, the most produced RAF Bomber during the war, FCS have done a great job

its just a shame FCS dont have paintkits for their releases, either way for it age, its level of internal detail is surprisingly up there

Im moving onto the the jungle and home front P40s now

To me it looks waaay too brownish. In reality VVS/DOSAAF An-2's came out of the factory painted olive green with maybe a hint of yellow and very light blue-gray underside. Of course, they could be repainted at the maintenance, but I never ever saw an An-2 that brown. And I've seen them A LOT. Here's a color that I'd call typical.

@WH they will be uploaded soonYou are going to be pretty busy to deliver on that. There are some paints going back to the first of the month (like the Hind in post #193) that has yet to see the light of day. Can't count how many I'm waiting for. Good luck. :very_drunk:

Its the FCS Wellington, (Daniel from Alphasim) I must admit it has one of the best VCs ive encountered, the most produced RAF Bomber during the war, FCS have done a great job .its just a shame FCS dont have paintkits for their releases, either way for it age, its level of internal detail is surprisingly up there. Im moving onto the the jungle and home front P40s now

Got it thanks, I have that one but had not reinstalled it after major rebuild of FSX some time ago. Peculiar how it has an Abacus moniker on the install icon but is marketed as FCS, which I guess it is. Agree re the details. My only gripe if I recall was if you zoomed back a little in VC view the model stopped aft of the seat back. Now back and installed awaiting the RAAF paint.

To all the others, yep the FR P-40 is on my new year wish list but I have so many others to catch up on and at the moment so little time it may have to wait. But a quick look confirms that it has that FR stamp of precision and detail all over.

Have a good new year!
