I am trying to get FSX deluxe to activate so I can get Acceleration to install. I have ran the FSX deluxe disk and tried to activate with the box code to no avail. Am I missing something here maybe a fix or sp procedure?? It has been so long please help.

Is it your first install on that computer? Not sure why codes are not working. Have you checked the Microsoft site for phone support number? About four years ago, when I built my system, I ended up calling MS support, who gave me authorization codes, if I recall? Pete

Hey NC, thanks for the assist. My neighbor just got home and came over. He is a MS IT here in Vegas and works within the Casino's here. He just installed it using this procedure. Install FSX Deluxe, then SP1 and SP2 and it activated, then uninstall SP2 and install Acceleration and it activated. His words for advice are can the FSX Deluxe and Acceleration set and buy Gold Version to avoid headaches related to the Activation and picky install. Lucky he has a sealed Gold copy he gave me for future issue's and he gave my Windows 7 64 a nice tune up to make FSX zing.

Would like to know what he did to Windows, CG. Mine still won't activate, even after an MS tech spent about an hour working on it remotely. He referred it to the next tier for tomorrow. After my first test, my FSX was flying, but after Windows update screwed something up, erasing the activation and blocking reactivation, FSX is terrible. However, FSX had no trouble activating after installing SP1, and then after installing Acceleration, it activated fine. It seems each system is different, regardless of how well we follow instructions. I can't even try out the C-47s until we get this figured out.:banghead:
