I drive right past the Creve Coeur airport (1HO) to and from work every day, and I always look over to see if anything interesting has landed. This morning I almost drove off the road, for there is a B-24 and a B-17 parked there right now! It's the Collings Foundation, and it looks like they'll be there today and tomorrow. I'll get pics later! Apparently there is a P-51C there too. Didn't see that one...

Here's some kodaks of the B-17. The P-51C took off just as I got there and then made a low and fast pass over the field. That was cool.

That &^%$ B-24 just flew right over my house at about 500 feet! Holy crap! &^%$# This is a family site, I can't express the way I want to.. :) I've never had a B-24 fly over. Couple B-17s, B-25s, and TBF, but never a Liberator until just now. It has a different sound than the B-17. It's subtle, but distinctly different. Friggen awesome is what it is...
