I'd be interested what settings Fixer owners are using and why if you're not using default?

running at 8xCSAA
Legacy - slider is balanced and all items checked DX10 compat. reflections enabled

Rain - brightness at 80% and slow snow checked - others unchecked

Lights / Effects - Convert effects and exclude particle effects checked - others unchecked

Shadows - Gen 3, enable boost checked - slider at just under 20%
Reduce fall off, toned shadows checked - Contrast slider at 12-13%
Reduce Fade checked, shadow bias at 0.5 - force vc walls unchecked
I don't fly jets so the rest is default

Clouds - all checked except Cloud Cull <----hard on FPS when checked (on my rig) and cumulus clouds selected in FSX

Other - left column checked - right column unchecked

Bloom - limit env. and limit scaling both checked
Reflective slider at 70%
Lights emissive at 63%
Headlights 'switchable' slider at 33%
Lights alpha/halo 'switchable' slider at 37%
Light glare halo slider at 15%

Water -Sky reflection max 41%
Sky reflection min 33%
Ambient light 105%
Night sky reflection 27%
Moon ambient light 46%

Misc - all checked

it took a while to arrive at these settings, but on my rig and to my eyes - these are best

I really appreciate Steve Parsons DX10 Fixer - it has made FSX twice as good as it was now that I can fly the older FS9 legacy planes again and all those DX10 scenery and lighting issues are virtually corrected
I hope he returns to the project soon

Thanks for the reply. I hope Steve does more work and allows the fixer to go back on sale again. I do accept that he has to draw a line in the sand eventually and maybe only update occasionally. For now he was so snowed under that he felt he had to stop the process for a while.
