Almost there, the Heron is just about ready for beta testing (touch wood). Just thought I'd post some more screenshots to show where it's at. Basically four versions (two fixed-gear and two retractable), although there are some variants within these. The version with the "high forehead", or more bubble-topped cockpit, features featherable prop blades (see pic) plus the fire extingusher system, and a slightly revised instrument layout. In all versions there is the option to summon airstairs for your passengers, or use the stowable ladder.

Time warp: At left, one of the fixed gear Jersey Airlines Herons, and at right, the present-day restored G-AORG as it appears now. (This is also the Heron I was lucky enough to fly in.) In their history, Jersey Airlines had six Herons in all, four fixed-gear and two retractable.

Fine looking model and looking forward to adding her to my CYFB Hanger. She looks like a nice companion for the Twin Otter.

Wonderful work Mike. Although I don't do airliners that much, I am looking forward to adding this as my second FR purchase:wavey:

Thanks, guys!

Just a couple more shots of liveries. Almost impossible to choose which liveries to do, Heron's flew for so many airlines in so many places! May still add a few, we'll see, but time is short....

Very nice Mike ...... but no VH-*** paints :(

May have time to do one more.... ;)

Incidentally, if I had to do just a single a livery alone for every other country other than those above that flew the Heron, there's still Japan (ANA's first airplane was the Heron), Turkey, India, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Israel, Iraq, Jordan, "East Africa", France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Malaysia, Uruguay, Canada, and still more, so have to draw the line somewhere! Hopefully repainters will step in if needed!

** Bump ** :bump:

I see there are some lovely looking screenshots on the FR homepage. Hopefully the Heron isn't too far behind!

The Riley conversion would make for a nice expansion package.

Listed under 'Aircraft' (not 'Work in progress'), with a price tag alongside - must be very close to release now! :jump:
