Just to show you how FSX runs on my system using Shadowplay to record it, it doesn't have any impact on the FPS

Nicely done. I assume then that is FSX in DX10 mode? Shadowplay works quite well for me in Prepar3Dv2, but I haven't tried FSX/DX10 yet.

Shadowplay is a new feature on recent NVidia cards to record videos of your games. It's like FRAPS, excepted that all the work is done by the video card instead of the CPU. As a consequence, the FPS impact of the recording is very small, contrary to FRAPS. The produced video is smooth.

No, look at my screens I posted above, my monitor have 1920x1080 but when I recorded the video got the vertical resolution!
