Late last week Australian Motor Sport lost one of the great men in the 'Touring Car' series, Harry Firth passed away aged 96.
The man who guided Ford to Bathurst wins with the early Cortina GT500 and the Falcon GT, followed by a long career as the man behind the Holden Dealer Team and mentor to Peter Brock, leaves a legacy that will probably remain unequalled 'Down Under'.

Today, Monday, May 19, the legendary Sir Jack Brabham died, aged 88, the man who has NEVER been equalled in his achievements in the Formula 1 world.
His humour and down to earth approach to life in general will be missed by a vast number of Motorsport fans, who, as I did, grew up following his career.
'Black Jack' was a genuine Aussie hero and a bloody good bloke.

If there is an 'afterlife', between Sir Jack and 'Firthy' it is about to get a serious shake up!

"Black Jack" and "The Fox". Sad times for those of us who watched them in their prime. Jack - a hard man on the track and a gentleman off it - thanks for all the memories.
