Hi to all,
i want to make a singlegsl object including several buildings to get better frame rates, i've done several apartment blocks and imported through ModelConverterX as 3ds files in Gmax. The question is: what i should do to combine all Lods in a single Lod, since every object, once imported in Gmax, results to be a single different, separate Lod??
Thanks for the assistance,
Gius

Sorry, now all is OK,:adoration:
i must select Select all, Attach, from the menu of the ViewPort.

You can attach object to make them one with Attach found on the right side.

However I don't think doing this will get you better frame rates. The polygon count will still be the same if you place 5 single buildings vs 5 buildings made into a single object.

Hi Allen,
yes, i've used just the Attach List.
As far as frames, Robert John has suggested me this trick, and in my beta version scenery of Berlin i've seen a consistent improvement...
Thanks,
Gius

Than my guess your improvment is not polygon based but done by reducing the number of objets that the game is tracking.

Surely you must be right.
