The Sara is headed for the scrapyard

So sad. The USS Saratoga is headed for the scrapyard at Brownsville, TX this summer. Such a sad end for a proud warrior. I did my last cruise on her, with VFA-83.

I contacted a friend of mine who used to work at the yards in Brownsville, hoping he still has contacts there. i sure would love to own a piece of the Sara, once the cutting begins......NC

Not shocked by this given the Enterprise couldn't be saved.

The Indy, Connie, Kitty, and (I think) Ranger are still sitting in the boneyard up here in Bremerton. No idea on their status. Its a shame to see these proud ships go to the breakers.
