While we're waiting for our scenery designer to complete the accompanying airfield for the Pitcairn project we've been fooling around with the FS9 Robin done by Jim converting it to FSX P3D native. Stil a WIP but taking shape. It will be a freebie when completed.

Nice. Back in FS9, this was the aircraft I learned to fly in the VC with.

Great news, Spad. :applause:
This is a nice little plane and works fairly well in FSX as is - my only issue is the tinted/smoked glass makes it hard to see things in less than optimal weather conditions. Hope you can make the glass a little clearer in this version.

I know they flew at least one very long duration flight in a Robin. If I remember correctly one of my aviation books has a pic of their Robin. I think they even modified it to where they could service the aircraft in flight.

You are correct Sir! 27 days non-stop. Air to Air refueling as well as resupply. There was a little catwalk built around the engine housing so they could service the engine. Daring men indeed and intrepid kites.

Fantastic! I almost forgot about the Robin for FS9....let alone this upcoming creation. Many thanks for offering this as a freeware, too!
