Two things come to mind. First, why do people keep dragging up old posts to start a new conversation. And second, why can't the moderators see this happening and split the thread? This is happening more and more here over the past year.

Agreed, any post with dated sales should be deleted once the sale expires. There aren't that many that it should create a large amount of work for the moderator and it will clear space on the server.
