The Bf109g on my original game will not load because i get an error about a corrupted file......where can i go to repair or replace the file so i can fly the 109 G in missions, campaigns, freeflight etc....? Also is there a command where I can skip missions in campaigns? I know you can load the mission and get in the aircraft and press escape and then get out of the mission and go to the next one....Thanks..........:greenf: PS..just thought about something else..downloaded the BOB 109 e add on for campaigns,,,,the aircraft are loaded in my free flight file and quick mission, but I am too dumb to know if the campaign is loaded..

you can find the original bF109 G files on your CFS disk, you may be able to repair it from there

if you just want to fly a specific mission from a campaign just copy/paste it from the campaign folder to your mission folder and fly it as a single mission, if you want to pemanently delete it from the campaign you can edit the ".cmg" file in your campaign folder with notepad, otherwise your using the correct procedure (no command that I'm aware off)

if you're refering to the bf109 bob campaign follow the installation procedure in the readme file;
INSTALLATION:
*************
Unzip to a temporary folder outside the combat flight simulator folder. Be sure to use "use folder names" when you extract.
Cut and paste the folders in the temporary aircraft folder to your aircraft folder in the combat flight simulator folder
Now cut and paste the contents of the temporary campaigns folder into your cfs campaigns folder.
Run CFS and click on campaigns, your new campaigns should appear under custom campaigns as jm_bob_109, jm_bob1_109, jm_bob2_109, jm_bob3_109, jm_bob4_109

be sure it's the CONTENTS of the campaign folder you paste, not the whole folder as you did with the aircrafts

good luck

The file for the 109G still exist in the original, but when i try to use in in campaigns the mission i am trying to fly will not load/ the 109 G will also not load in free flight or quick missions all i get is a balck screen where the plane should be and the corrupted file message.....as far as repair, i don't know how to do that...thanks for the help on the BOB 109 e campaigns...maybe Santa will bring me a brain for Christmas...:p87: I have deleted CFS and reinstalled hoping this would fix the 109G, but no joy.....

have you tried by deleting the ".cdp" file in your bf109G folder, it is a digital file that will rebuild itsself when you restart CFS, if it's corrupted it will be the cause of your problem (should have suggested it before)

If that does not work I can send my bf109 folder to you by mail or PM, if its not to big, but normaly you should be able to find all the needed files on your CFS disk and you can copy/paste or unzip them to your .../cfs/aircraft/BF109G folder

I will try the cdp file idea, however now i am also getting corrupted mission files when i try to fly the fw190 in the later missions....i deleted cfs this am the re-installed and am getting some mission corrupted files for 109g and fw190...think this may possibley from the CFS original disk...going to try to find/buy another CFS original and see if this helps. Will let you know about the cdp file result...

Before going out and spending money on a CD you might not need, how about Installing CFS to another machine you might have in the house.... or perhaps on a friend's machine? If it works, you can immediately uninstall and no one should get upset at you.

in case you may need it I have send you my Bf109G folder (to your moon adress), just unzip it and replace your folder with it, it will ask to replace, simply ask yes

if that works we will look at your fw190, but that is a larger folder (3.5MB after zip), if the 109 does not work after replacing I do'nt believe it will work for the 190 neither

do'nt run to a store yet, we can test more but let us take one step at the time

still worried that the CFS reinstall did not solve the problem; if I where you I would make a backup copy form the 109 by copy/paste it to a place outside your CFS folder

guess that the FW190 missions which did not work also had a 109 plane, just to be sure checkout your FW190 in freeflight, if it is OK there you do'nt have to be worried about it anymore

If you have a bunch of planes installed like I do, typically you would NOT choose to delete the custom files in the game when you do a reinstall. That means that the reinstall would probably retain a corrupted file.

First thing i did was run the 190 in a mission in the later campaign and it is ok..BfG ran ok last night.........all seems well with custom files as well as the standard files........know things are running well because 3 out of 5 missions i got smoked by dallying too long on a B17, or some sneaky p47/p51 hosed me down.......:) ...do not tell Herman Goering......:p87: I do not want to be sent to the Eastern Front....:tgun2: Back up files are made...learned a lot from this llittle "glitch" thanks to the help received..............
