Was wondering if anyone has the old CFS2 addon from Just Flight.I have had it installed for age's and found in QC any jets your flying against stay on the ground. All the prop aircraft such as the IL10 or Yak9 or Mustang etc.will fly against you but the jets just stay on the ground in one place.I was wondering if this might be a result of me using W7, 64 bit.A couple of other things ,when in QC bomber escort if I click on the enemie's tab the sim CTD's.If I try using a plane other than stock the gunsight disappears.
I wonder if the Fox Four Korea addon is any better.

Hi Hurricane! Your problem (as mine time ago) must be the plane that u are using to fight against u. Some converted airplanes stay on the ground and other engages against u. About the reason why that happens , really dont know , or how to fix it. The reason for Ctd must be something (g_lights) in the fs2k4 model that must be removed ,just send me your model and ill chek it out for u.
Cheers

Thanks for you reply. I tried using just the planes that came with the addon and also planes that I have added and get the same result,ie. jets stay on the ground and props will fly against you.It doesn't matter if the plane came with KCP or is one I have downloaded and installed into CFS2 myself. If I'am trying to fly against jets they won't come up to play.
As for the CTD it only seems to happen in bomber escort mode.

Sorry but I meant that the CTD only happens in "bomber intercept" not bomber escort as that isn't even one of the choices. This happens with the stock CFS2 QC also,I've noticed that if I click on the enemies tab it always goes to "random" then if I click on enemies again ,say to change to the TBF to intercept it will CTD.As far as the jets not coming up to play, since KCP is the only way I can fly against jets I have never seen this in any of the other addons I have for CFS2,which are Battle OF Britain Memorial Flight, Mosquito Squadron,Dam Busters',and finally Combat Aces, all from Just Flight, as none of these have jets in them.

Ok Hurricane! Now i understand better! I think had some time ago that issue, but just i had to let it go without a fix. Listening to u about win 7 , perhaps the reason is some airplane dp or air file, that is loading as other u had previusly. I dont know how to esplain that, exacly even so in spanish (LOL). I cant understand why sometimes cfs2 or win 7 seems to load other dp or air file from a plane that isnt in the aircraft folder just because matches the airplane name. Perhaps is something in the registry.
Other explanation could be a bad download, where the mission data is corrupted .
Could u share a link to download that pack? thank u
Cheers
Mario

As far as I can tell Korean Combat Pilot is not avalible by download ,it's a boxed program avalible here www.justflight.com/ (http://www.justflight.com/) for 8.15 US dollars.‎

The main problem is that CFS2 is a US-built WW2 pacific theater flight simulator. This means that AI fighter pilots (your enemies) will act as if they were flying a Zero, even if they are actually flying a MiG-15. CFS2 AI pilots can't handle jet fighters. They will try to dogfight with throttle set to iddle and they will never gain speed or altitude.

As far as I know, there is no way to change that.

Thanks Roxane-21 that makes sense ,but I wonder why Just Flight didn't take that into consideration when they made KCP.They have several other CFS2 addons that have jets and I would think anyone who has them would also have the same problem. The fact that CFS2 AI can't handle jets makes any addon with AI jets kind of pointless since jet v jet is (I would think) the main reason for buying the addon in the first place. Is the Fox Four Korean addon the same?

You will face the same problem with any other jet addons. Even FoxFour mod is not different.

How do get The Migs into QC? The only way I can do it is with the Migs in Korean Combat Pilot.I have other Migs I have downloaded but they don't show up in the quick combat list for enemies.

How do get The Migs into QC?

For any aircraft that you want to engage as opponents in QC, you have to install them individually into the qcb file located in the Quickcom folder. You can do it the manual, painstaking way via Notepad, or you can use a fast editing program like Jonesoft QC Editor by Jaesen Jones---> http://simviation.com//1/browse-Utilities-88-1

Before using the program, back up your stock qcb file and use the one that i've attached below as the starting point. This qcb is modified to eliminate the Japanese nationality as the prime axis option and replace it with a generic "Communist" option as axis adversary and it contains no stock Japanese aircraft. The stock allied aircraft are also reduced to the C47_Dakota, F4F4_Wildcat, F4U1A_Corsair, F6F3_Hellcat and the TBF_Avenger. Even though the Wildcat and Hellcat were no longer in combat service during the Korean conflict, i just felt the whim to keep them in my Korean installation anyway.

After installing the program, it looks for and defaults to your original CFS2 install. You have to direct it to your Korean install.
