Does anyone know how to get FS2004 clouds and ground textures into CFS2?

FS2004 Clouds can be copied straight in, be aware that there is a significant hit on frame rates with some of the clouds (I find the storm clouds are especially bad). Personally I have been using the FSX clouds converted to DXT3 format.

FS2004 ground textures - do a search in the Add-Ons section for Stiz. He converted them for Europe and the Pacific.

Good luck
Gavin

Can you give me information on how to do that? I'm not worried about the framerates as I have an excellent system.

Hi Skywolf
I assume you mean copy the files from FS2004 to CFS2. I won't insult your intelligence (although no one seems to have any issues with insulting mine:costumes:) by telling you how to search the site.

You need to copy the following files from the FS2004 TEXTURE directory into the CFS2 TEXTURE directory.
cirrus_*.bmp
cld*.bmp
cumulonimbus_*.bmp
cumulus_*.bmp
stratus_*.bmp

That should work, if you have any issues with the textures try converting them to DXT3 format using DXTBmp from Martin Wright or imagetool from Microsoft.

Hope this helps.
Gavin
