Hiya

After the public beta test I am now happy to announce that the T-28A is available for all to download:

www.antsairplanes.com/downloads/AntsT28AV100.zip (http://www.antsairplanes.com/downloads/AntsT28AV100.zip) (134MB)

This aircraft is released as donationware (if you like it make a donation) in the hope that people will open their pockets and chuck a few pennies towards simouthouse and aussiex (www.aussiex.org (http://www.aussiex.org)). Unlike some other flightsim websites neither of these two sites take advertising so they rely completely on user donations to help cover the costs of keeping the websites up and running.

The aircraft will also hopefully be available from the simouthouse and aussiex libraries shortly (I have just uploaded the files). In the meantime you can get the file from the direct link to my website above.

For more information on the T-28A and the differences between it and the other T-28 versions you can check out my Trojan page at www.antsairplanes.com/trojan.html (http://www.antsairplanes.com/trojan.html)

The installer contains versions for FSX and P3D V2. The P3D V2 version will only run in P3D V2 or higher (the P3D version was compiled with the P3D V2 xtomdl program which makes these models incompatible with P3D V1.x or FSX). The difference between the FSX and P3D version is the collimated gunsight needed to be changed to work in P3D and the interior model needed to changed due to the different way that aircraft ground shadows work in P3D.

Updates for the T-28B/C (to V1.1) and the T-28D (to V2.1) are either available now or will be shortly from existing customers retailer accounts. These updates fix MP performance, include P3D versions and the updated sounds plus a few minor bug fixes.

EDIT: Seems I broke the engine starter switch on the T-28B/C with a small syntax error. There is a T-28B&C V1.11 patch available on my website (www.antsairplanes.com (http://www.antsairplanes.com)) for anyone with V1.1 of the T-28B/C which fixes the problem. I will update the full V1.1 installer to V1.11 soon.

Hello Antony,

The T28A is a wonderful model with its HD metallic textures and its very detailed VC. Bravo.

For me your model is an ideal virtual trainer. With all the wear and tear included, we must read the manual and follow the checklist to avoid damages. In this way the use of the model will give us a sound basis to proper handling an aircraft

Have a good day

Anthony, this plane is amazing!

Im not a big Trojan fan, but this put the D on my to-get list.

Thank you very much!

Any plans to do the Dual model like the B, C and D?

No plans on a Dual version for the A model Dave.

There needs to be some distinction between the free stuff and the payware stuff doesn't there?

Sieggie
March 7th, 2014, 04:35
How about a payware A then or maybe wrap the dual A into the D payware, since a D is an updated A :mixed-smiley-010:

I found some time to fly the T-28A & D today, and I must say these are among the very best fsx models I have whether freeware or payware.

Keep up the good work Anthony :encouragement:

I have the whole range and I must admit that the A is my favourite so far. A pilot's aeroplane that needs to be handled with respect, not due to power, but due to lack of it.

Great work Anthony!

Edit: Btw PCAviator USA does not yet have the updated version for the B/C and D, while all other vendors have them, even PC Aviator Australia.

PCAviator has the updates. They just haven't changed the description. Just re-download your purchase and you'll get the new one.

Awesome aircraft, made me buy all the other versions!!! :applause:

I have two doubts... (happens in all versions)... why with the realistic prop torque effect selected the need for left rudder trim to fly straight? The trojan don't have a cw prop? Even the manual calls for a 5º right rudder trim which is logical. If i take-off with 5º RH rudder trim i need left foot...

...the other is that i cannot avoid the spark plugs from fouling. :dizzy:

This is one amazing plane! Beautiful job - love the cockpit effects.

I however was unable to get the weapons working properly. Is anyone else having issues with firing off weapons?

Got the weapons working using the breaks key - the respective buttons for bombs and rockets in the VC did not work for me.

Hi,

I've just seen that Anthony has released a new beta version of his excellent donationware T-28A Trojan. It has many improvements and is also compatible with P3Dv4 and VRS Tacpac:

AWESOME!

The T-28 was already 10/10 and I'm really curious if this version requires a rescaling of the rating.

Agree, the Ant T-28 series is among the aircraft I miss most in P3D V4.1. Good news!

I've got the B/C/D versions. They are great. But, I dunno if I will ever be able to have an -A version that is like the -A that I heard and saw at PDK a couple years ago. It was crazy. Sounded like a push-pull engine. Giant polished 2-blade prop. It was almost comical to watch it fly by at "high speed" while listening to that thing lope by.

If I don't have your newest trojan, I will look into getting it. Thanks for your effort in the FS arena!

I downloaded the new update to the T-28B/C. The model installed ok but when I tried to install the separate weapons module windows defender said it was a severe threat, containing
Trojan:Win32/Fuerboos.Alcl

He has a 3.01 patch already but it was also blocked by windows defender for the same reason.

I sent him an email last night but so far no response. When I fly it in V4.1 right now there are no pilots in the aircraft, I figure its because of the missing weapons pack.

I downloaded the T-28A directly from ant's site and tried to run weapons pack installer, same problem.

No problems here. I'm running FSXA and just reinstalled all the Trojans to version 3.00. Forgot how much fun they are. Still could use some more repaints.

Also running FSXA here and own all Ant's T-28's which I fly regularly. They already perform superbly in my setup so I'm a little reluctant to change 'anything.'

Would appreciate any comments speaking to possible changes in sim performance (FSX} for the new versions. I'm not a tacpac user and my pc is far from state of the art.

It's incredible that these offerings can now be had for an even lower price. Even without this reduction they represent one of the very best values in payware aircraft.

In my experience, the exceptional modelling, talent and sheer quality poured into these amazing works remains unsurpassed. The way the 'dimples' are represented on the
aircraft skin get me every time.

How does the v.3.00 model differ from previous versions?
