Library Question (Repaints)

Really struggling to understand how the search works in the library: - ( I'm looking for repaints for the Milviz P-38 but it keeps returning nothing. Am I the only one who doesn't understand how it works?:dizzy:

You are not alone.

I end up trying different kind of keywords for searches. Just entering "P-38" under the FSX libraries doesn't work as it seems the search engine doesn't digest the non-alpha characters very well.

I just tried it using the search for "lightning" without the quote and got several hits on the FSD lighting - which is by Milviz and Flight Sim Developers, I think. Or you can just try "Milviz", "FSD" or "Flightsim Developers".

Hi Rami and thanks for replying. As you can see, I'm not the only one that finds it difficult and, to be fair, as librarian you are more than familiar with its workings;-) I can only see a few on your link. I'm told over at Milviz that there are lots of repaits by Jankees for this addon. Please don't take this as a critisism as its not intened as such. I'm just looking for all/any paints for this aircraft.

At first I had problems doing a search. I just figured out that if you enter p-38 and select "exact phrase" and "FSX skins" you'll get the results above.

Thanks. Seeing a lot for the FSD model, but not much for Milviz. Maybe Colin is mistaken. Maybe there aren't many for the Milviz addon. It was after all, a 'restored' version.

That is because the FSD P-38 was a collaboration between FSD and Milviz.

Milviz later released its Civilian version with a total different cockpit and other neat changes.

You will find all the military repaints for the FSD release. There were only a few repaints for the Milviz restored, civilian version.

The repaints for the Milviz restored version were done by ********. Only two show up on the search shortcut I provided. If you click on his name to display all entries you will find two more.

BTW - I was hoping someone would create a "white Lightning" repaint for the Milviz version, but no joy.

I have both and enjoy both.

I thought Jankees published his paints on the OZx site pretty much exclusively? You might want to look at http://aussiex.org/forum to see if they are there.
