I proudly admit , this brought a few tears watching this . What an honor . Some beautiful aircraft involved too .

As briefly mentioned in the video , the flyers had to get very "Special Permission" to fly over Arlington in DC air space . Can you imagine the red tape they had to go through to get this done ? I salute everyone involved (including the government) for getting this very special tribute accomplished .

The A-26 Invader that was in the Fly-Over was the Spirit of N.C. which is based here at our airport (ILM). The Pilot/Owner is Captain George Lancaster(US Airways-Retired) seen here on the left of this photo. I used to service George's T-33A back in the 1990's. I'm proud of his contribution in this Fly-Over....
