First of all this might just be machine specific to my computer (my computer hardware in noted in my signature below), but I thought I share my findings with you in any case.

I had this slight stutter issue all these years with this bird (especially when taxing on the ground) that I just chalked up to my computer hardware being a bit to old. I notice however some of my newer seemingly more complex airplanes didn't have stutter issues. So after all these years (and a bit of detective work) I just noticed that if I turn off "Light Bloom" in the FSX graphics display option menu, the stutter goes away. DOH! I tracked the issue to a texture file named Fresnel_Ramp.dds in the "common" texture folder. If I temporarily rename this file and turn Light Bloom back on, again there is no stutter issue. Finally, I can get this bird fly smooth on my computer.......:encouragement:

FYI....Fresnel_Ramp.dds is the texture that is applied to the reflective glass cover over the IRST tracking system in front of the cockpit nose canopy.

Hope someone finds this useful after all these years.....

Tommy
