Err this is a good question for the guru's here. Why we all now external graphics card is needed for Fs/Prepar3D and I am concerned being used to just going out buying a card and plug and play driver technique. When it gets to the point you plug in say a Nvidia Card GT220 under a W8 64 UEFI secure boot, no singal. Toss it back to the other computer which is under W7 64 and bingo it works. So that begs the ? for all in FS what the heck does one do when you have W8 or 8.1 64?? How do you get it happy on the new graphics card?? Are there any graphics cards that comply and behave plug and play in the UEFI secure boot? Bad enough on a Gateway getting into Bios to see about a legacy mode, unlike a acer which in W8 one can enter bios from the windows menu lol.

This might help: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/17058-secure-boot-enable-disable-uefi.html

It does indeed seems to be a PITA...

Good luck!

Thank You, that actually help a lot. Gateway although was no help with getting access to the Bio's to disable and enable the legacy mode. However a friend of mine with Dell up in Austin came by today at the hanger and executed a remote connection to the Bio's and fixed it for me. Now the GT610 works and purrs and my 2nd HD finally dected and Lockheed reactivated thankfully on that HD.
