This is, without a doubt and hands down, the best looking paint and paint scheme I have seen for this aircraft. Thank you very much for sharing this TuFun.

I'd like to add both paint schemes of the Howard to my FSX hangar but I'm a little confused as to which files to download for the optimum Howard 500. I searched under "FSX Aircraft" and found, and downloaded, the obvious Howard_500vc4_FSX file but I didn't know if the new Howard_500_N137U.zip was compatible with the other file. Do I also need TFR_H-500TP.zip to "upgrade" to a higher rez visual? Is Falcon409's Howard_VC.zip necessary to upgrade the VC? is Banana Bob's Howard_500_Prop_fsx.zip a "must have" addon for FSX also? What about the optimum sound package? Is it the R2800 or B26 file?

Thanks for your patience in reading all these questions. I like the Howard a lot. It is powerful and flies well. It must have been a kick to fly one of these as a corporate pilot back in the day.

Regards,
Obie

Milton was kind enough to revise the tail section for the FS9 model last year. All that is required to use N137U repaint is this model which is FSX compatible.

No other add on is required. Soundset by Adam Murphy and Falcons panels, are included in the package. The N137U repaint includes new (FSX) props.

I made a lot of changes since this package was released.

That's one clean machine. Downloaded and flying the outback now. Wow! And your audio kit continues to amaze.

Woo-hoo - you just made my day! I had tried the N137U paint on the "FSX" model, but it was a no-go. This is much more promising, especially since it comes with your sound kit.

Thank you!

Thanks guys... for the record, the R-2800 soundset was created by Adam Murphy, perfect for the Howard!

Dear TuFun

GREAT thanks

One question though

the rear rear center part is grey or purposely untextured?

Thanks

I believe if this repaint is used on other Howard models the tail section will be grey since the Howard revised model is mapped differently. htail_t.dds is the new mapped file for the rudder and tails and ruddertail_t.dds is the old mapped tail used on early Howard models including the FSX version. It is only used in the revised model for the tail wheel textures.

htail_t.dds and ruddertail_t.dds for the revised FS9 (2013) model...

ruddertail_t.dds FSX model and early FS9 models.

Is there a way to turn on the lights in the VC? Seems to only work in the 2D panel. Shift L only makes the pedestal glow and an orange strip under the panel on the pilots side. No lights on the gauges or warning lights, day or night.

Ah, I see what you mean. I used the wrong vc light textures. Here's the correct vc light textures...

Copy the three texture files into texture.N137U folder.
